Steve Hasler- sdhasler@comcast.net

March 29, 1984.    Steve Häsler was attending college in Gambier, Ohio when the phone rang in his dorm room.  On the other end of the line awaited his parents with disturbing news – our beloved Colts had poured the entire organization into Mayflower vans and left town.

For the next four autumns, Steve was forced to watch football with Browns fans, unsympathetic to the plight of losing a hometown team.  By 1987 Steve was back in Baltimore, launching his advertising career.

Not long thereafter Steve attended the annual Fourth of July Parade in Towson – a bittersweet experience as Steve watched his mother well-up with tears as the Baltimore Colts Marching Band waddled by to a tune we are all familiar with.

That strange, sad scene was repeated for the next eleven summers until the Ravens brought football back home, an ironic twist that left his old friends back in Ohio finally relating to his 13 year old wound.

By that time Steve was married, with two kids who are now in middle school.  He, his wife, and kids reside in Sparks.  Steve has been opining on all things Ravens, pretty much since the invention of message boards.  You may know him as Shaslers.
