I posted this on the other board just to get some other opinions.

"Everytime the guy is in there, he seems to perform at least reasonably well.

I think he needs to be starting next year, whether he takes Flynn or VIncent's spot, I don't care.

Hopefully Chester will get an opportunity next year after bulking up some more."

I thought the line played well (for them) at Denver. :nerd:

Watching from my soggy and freezing overhead perch at Invesco, I was able to at least come to the conclusion that our O-line did a reasonable job, especially considering the tractionless surface they were playing on.

Steve McNair's second INT was the result of having too much time to think, IMO...LOL
He forced a pass that had he simply dumped the ball over the line to Musa Smith, would have netted us at LEAST 15 yards, considering the fact that there wasn't a Bronco within 15 yards of Musa...:grbac:

The O-line held their own though, for sure...

Even more annoyed I fell asleep during the game, really wanted to keep an eye out for Jason so I hope he did a good job. Only down mark on the little I saw was a sack in the 1st quarter where the defender (can't remember who) just went straight between Ogden and Brown, looked like a miscommunication between two players who weren't used to playing together.

I wasn't paying specific attention to Brown, but the OL overall actually did a better job than usual in pass protection. It's a shame that he had to take over for Mule, because I think he'd be an upgrade over either Flynn or Vincent. Those guys are the weak links on the OL.

Brown handled himself pretty well. He had a false start penalty which came at a bad time, and the sack between him and Ogden, but other than that he held up.

I think he'll hold up just fine

I thought Jason Brown played very well. The 10 yard runs that Musa and MA got were on the leftside between JO and Brown. Brown has earned a starting job on the OL for next year. Now, whether that will be at center or guard remains to be seen. Something tells me that the club is looking at Jason Brown as a future guard with Chris Chester now as our center of the future.

This offseason will be dedicated to getting two new OL (RG and RT) via FA and the draft.

Mulitalo, Flynn and Vincent are done as Ravens next year. Jason brown played very well and is a better playe rthan Mulitalo is at this stage. He has great energy and nasty attitude. He's got good quick feet and I just generally saw more life in his lower body than I did from Mulitalo.

I absolutely agree.

Also, depending on what happens in terms of end of the year outlook, I could see JO retiring.

Next year will see a lot of new faces.

Mulitalo may still have some gas left, but dear God I hope you're right about Flynn and Vincent. Brown has looked solid in his limitted action and Chester looked real good in preseason. I have very high hopes for those two to solidify the middle of our line which has been lacking for, I dunno, forever?

Mule could be kept as a spot guard. J. O.? Drafting a guard and tackle is certainly a good idea.

You could very well see a line next year of:
Terry Brown Chester Rimph Pashos

...I could live with that.

That's about exactly what I am thinking could happen A-F.

At any rate, Brown is not doing anything to make me upset or scared.
