View Full Version : Okay, who wants a 24x7 t-shirt?

Tony wants a head count to see who would buy this.
The "final" design (I use that term loosely):
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v197/ravens3535/ravensteeII_sample_5.gif
The price I would imagine would be similar to the RavensInsider tee's.
P.S. I plan to get outside this whole "Creepy raven, purple city of Baltimore" design and bust out some fresh stuff in the near future. Maybe even some white tees and something completely different. Stay tuned.

If this is final, I'll buy one. Great work!

how much were the shirts for the Insiders?
I may be interested.

Damn, I don't quite remember. Not too expensive, IIRC.
Also, let me know if you'd be interested in hoodies or long sleeved tee's.

My only constructive criticisms on an otherwise really cool design are:
1. I would lose the bottle of alchohol on the tombstone
2. Change the red font on the tombstone to Ravens Gold (in the Ravens lettering style as well).
Great overall design though.

With proposed changes, I would absolutely buy one!

I agree with Greenwave, and I would buy a sweat shirt without a hood first and my second pick would be a short sleeve T-shirt.
Excellent job and count me in for one of something or other when they come out.

I would be interested in a hoodie but not with the picture on the front.
I think a good lookin hoodie would have the Pro Football 24xy logo with the bird foot on it on the front and on the back it would say "For those who bleed Purple". Basically take the back of the T-Shirt, and turn it into a hoodie.
I would buy that.

I agree with changing the red writing. I'd be in for a hoodie and a shirt in 2 or 3xl depending on the material.

hmmm sounds like everyone wants their own designed shirt! haha
Once you decide on a "final" design id probably take one too. black t-shirt for me. I cant decide if i like the arm coming out of the ground with the helmet or not.....it being halloween soon i think i like the shirt!

The "bottle of alcohol" was almost certainly refers to Poe's grave. On the anniversary of his death, a visitor places a bottle of brandy and flowers, IIRC. This has been going on for a few decades now.
Esoteric, but not a gratuitous reference.

As much as I hate to say it, but it might be "back to the drawing board" for me and these shirts. For those who like the current design, we'll see if we can offer it still. But judging by the response, people want some new ideas.

FTB, thanks for offering this up to us. As you've just seen, it's really not easy to please everyone. Having said that, I have to partially agree with GreenWave52. I "get" the reference of having the booze by the tombstone, but worry that others (kids especially) wouldn't. I worry that they'd think that it's condoning alcohol use. I also agree that the red lettering is a bit too stark of a contrast. However, I think gold would be, too. My suggestion would be purple or black. I love EAP as the man in the moon! Also, because of the way the shadows play, it appears that there is a person (shadow) standing in the foreground looking at the grave. Intentional or not, it's cool.
FTB, you do great stuff, and I really hate to nitpick. In fact, if you just lose the booze bottle, I'll get at least a hoodie and a couple of shirts.

Great job on the artwork, FTB!!

I bought the other one and will buy one of these probabley. I love the bottle and think that if a child is old enough to know what it is then you should be able to explain it to them.

I always like "political correctness". haha (sarcasm)
So its ok to have "killed" our opponents and put their names on tombstones.....but please dont leave a bottle of brandy????
FTB-----love the shirt design, its probably best to get some ideas like you did, take the best ones, then say, this IS the FINAL shirt design and see who wants them. Youll never get everyone to like everything about it. Since its a Profootball 24x7 shirt, they should have final say since their name will be on it. but hope you dont just trash the whole idea.

how much were the shirts for the Insiders?
I may be interested.
It was $15 for the shirt, an extra $5 if you wanted your name on the sleeve, and then $5 for shipping. I never got the name on the sleeve, it was $20 for me.
Actually, shipping was $3.50, so I got ripped off by 6 quarters :p :261695:

My wife looked at the design, and as an amature artist, she thinks that design is outstanding...and her words were "they will sell like hotcakes".
I agree with her.
You can't satisfy everyone, and some folks will want you to "Tweak" it here and there...I say, leave it as it is and get the shirts to the presses.

Alright, the wave of support is great! Thanks a ton.
I got a PM from Braven and he obviously owns the embroidery/screen printing shop. We'll see if he wants a hand in printing these and maybe distributing them, or if TL has some ideas. I'll stick with this as the final design (sorry folks), but be prepared for completely new ideas in the future. I knew from the get-go this was strikingly similar to the old shirt. I'm becoming a one trick pony like the Ravens offense. :D

I worry that they'd think that it's condoning alcohol use.
And Junior doesn't condone alcohol use by being sponsored by Budweiser in the NASCAR curcuit?:229031_confused2:

I think prices will be set by the distributor. Braven offered to print these, so he would be better suited to price these shirts if that's the case. Also, Tony is out of town and I'll need his input before we go to print.
Thanks for your patience, people.

Someone was selling B.A.S.H. shirts before the Oakland game in Tailgate Lot J. They were right plain though.

I hear it gets plenty cold up here in PA so I'd be interested in a hoodie. As a teatotaler, and card-carrying member of the God squad, I understand and can explain the significance of the bottle. I also don't think it is promoting alcohol. At least no more than a golden chalice filled with wine. ;)

I'll take an XL T please, FTB. Please leave the brandy on the shirt - it rounds off the whole design nicely as quintessential Baltimore.
Fun fact of the day - no-one is sure why brandy is left on Poe's grave each year on his birthday - he didn't like cognac. I found this out yesterday when viewing Westminster Hall, where he is buried, as a potential wedding venue.
Another fun fact tomorrow...

As far as the alcohol goes, I guess I'm a member of the God Squad myself but I don't have a problem with the bottle. Of course my opinion might not mean much since my mom brought me a Guiness hat and T-shirt on the day I got baptized.:grbac:
