Noticed this little tidbit in the Sun...
Moore coming back?
Billick hinted that wide receiver Clarence Moore - whom the team cut Saturday - might return soon.
Moore, who did not make a reception in two games this season, was released to make room for second-year linebacker Dennis Haley, who solidified a banged-up special teams unit.
"This will still play itself out," Billick said. "We were in a situation where we had to make a move because of our vulnerability. Any player I would've moved off the roster of 53 to get Dennis Haley up would've been disappointed because I like our 53-man roster."
Moore's absence was an opportunity for Haley, who was informed by general manager Ozzie Newsome on Saturday afternoon that he was being promoted to the active roster off the practice squad.
"That's the opportunity I've been waiting for since the first game of preseason," said Haley, who saw spot action on special teams Sunday. "I've prepared myself to go out there and contribute to the team. We didn't come out with the win, but just to be a part of the team and be a contributor felt good."

Boller would have thrown it to the spot where Clarence gets it, or no one gets it.
Steve missed the throw. It was a bad play call, but steve totally botched the execution.

:grbac: times 10.
How about we just use D-Williams there and keep our special teams from sucking wind?
Moore, at beast, will never be more than a #3 WR, if that on this team. Clayton and Williams are clearly better, and Mason is #1 or #2 as long as he's here.
Waste of space. The matchup isn't even good!! Moore can't "box out" for his life anyhow.

True that Boller has the stronger arm and has had better performance on the end zone fade to a tall WR, but I still think that Moore was not in the right position to out leap the shorter Camp Bailey.

In the last 2 years, Clarence Moore's stat totals:
6 Games
1 Start
3 Catches
2 Tackles
Sounds like we throw a lot of interceptions his way. Glad we didn't let him get away.:insane:

Ravens add wide receiver Clarence Moore and put linebacker Dennis Haley on waivers.

Yes McNair should have just thrown that ball away. There was nothing there and it would have been a easy three (3) points for Matt. Going into half time winning 6-3 would have been big. Howver that's the past we need to move on.

Boy, there were SO many teams jumping at the chance to sign him after he got cut the other week. I guess Billick just has the eye for big play talent on offense. :sarcasm:

You know, what screw it! This offense is Billick's baby now. We ride and die with his playcalling and if he wants to throw deep to Clarence Moore a couple times a game so be it.

I never thought I'd see the day when a soft, timid WR with suspect hands would maintain employment in the NFL based solely on his "explosive potential", none of which has ever materialized except in one game against the Jets a couple of years ago...

Wonderful.
I was really hoping that we had seen the last of Clarence. Look for Billick's dynamic "jump-ball" offense next Sunday.
