Boy are these clowns clueless! E Allen, M Hoge, and S Salisbury all say the Steelers will still win the division easily. I guess we should just forfeit the season and go home!:insane:

True, they've scored the most points in the AFC North.

But they've also given up just one point less than the Browns. People just want to love them, since they were reigning SB winners.

What are they going to say when the Raiders finish beating up on them this week? Everyone talks about how terrible the Raiders are, but their Defense is currently ranked 5th in the League and their Pass Defense is first!

Not this year. It's either the Ravens or Cinn. That will be decided when we play Cinn. The Steelers don't have it this year.

The Steelers are 2-4. At best they'll finish 9-7. At worst we'll finish 8-8. I just don't see it.

I like Hoge and think he's a terrific analyst, but he's way too much a Steelers homer.

Salisbury is dumber than Dubya...

The Steelers do no wrong as they score Touch Downs on Offense, have an exciting team to watch, and a Deffense that features the longest hair in the NFL...how do you not like them????

What do these so called "sports authorities" know? Nothing! They make it up and hope people will start spreading their gosip.

I don't think the steelers have it this year either. But I will say that this year, like every year, it'll come down to who beats who in the division. I'm not counting them out yet. Our boys in purple better be ready cuz we still got "yinz" and "cinz" twice.

Ravenswarrior, i agree. the steelers are still defending SB champs until someone knocks them out (i.e. our boys and cincy). i just don't see them go 10-6, 9-7 or 8-8. i see them go 7-9 or worse because i wiil come down with teams who have head-to-head records. however, there's a lot of football yet to be played.

What are they saying now! I told you the Raiders were going to beat up on them. The Raiders remind me a little bit of us, especially last year. Terrific D, no O. Must be the Ryan connection.

Now their saying we're lucky cause we haven't had the injuries Cinn and Pitt have had and that we have no depth and injuries could still ruin us:thumbdown:

Props to you for that prediction, I sure didn't see it coming. (Although they didn't really "beat up on them" but why quibble).

Well, that is true, injuries to key people can destroy a season... look what happened to us last season.
Let's just all pray our "luck" holds and we escape it this season!

Did they actually say that? Because you can make that moronic observation about pretty much every team in the league. How many teams have quality depth in the salary cap era? Injuries can ruin any team -- we are hardly unique with respect to that issue.

And I don't agree that injuries are the primary reason that the Steelers and Bengals are struggling.

I also don't think they are the primary reason we went 6-10 last year.

The Bengals would have killed them. Even with Carson out they led until the 3rd Qtr. It wouldn't even have been close IMO.

They had everything go their way last year and got the bullshit calls in the Super Bowl.

I still maintain that the Steelers would have been one and done last year in the playoffs if they had not taken Carson Palmer out. They played their best game in upsetting Indy, and then the refs helped them out immensely in the Superbowl. I cannot see how they will ever be that fluke lucky again.

Blaming the officials and injuries? Why, I've NEVER heard that before!

You're really starting to sound like one of "those guys." You know, those guys who keep insisting everything was luck, not giving much credit to the winner, just generally being a sore loser who's in denial.

It's time to quit making excuses and just give the Steelers credit for overcoming a terrible call in Indy and going on the road to Denver (where the Broncos hadn't lost all year) and completely dominating the game. The Palmer injury was just part of the game. Shit happens. As for the refs handing the Steelers the Super Bowl, Hasselbeck seemed to want to give it to them just as bad at the end, so that's a wash too.

I like to bust on Steeler fans and tell them they were handed the Super Bowl, but that's just to get under their skin. I really don't buy that shit. Do you?

In fact bad Karma has happened to them this year to balance out all the luck last season. I truly think they were not as good as they were lucky last season, and this year they are not as bad as they are unlucky. So it balances out I guess.

I disagree again. The Steelers weren't unlucky yesterday. They played like shit and got what they deserved. They weren't unlucky when Cincy kicked their ass in Pittsburgh. They weren't unlucky when Jax shut them out, they kept turning the ball over. Maybe they were unlucky against Atlanta on the Washington call, but shit, they still had an overtime to correct that and the didn't.

The Steelers aren't unlucky right now. They are pretty much getting what they should expect to be getting, based on how "well" they're playing.

I agree the Steelers are done as far as making the playoffs. However, when B-more & Pit go at each other it is always a war. No team can be taken lightly. And as far as the injuries ruining our season, that can be said for every team. If Peyton Manning goes down...etc.

you CANNOT trust sports "experts", they are almost never right.

Like the cardinals nearly beating the bears, then loosing the the Raiders. Thats unpredictable. And the way i like it.
