Someone needs to teach this to Ed Reed. Every time he returns a punt, interception or fumble, he either tries to lateral it when he shouldn't, or doesn't secure the ball and holds it out there for an easy strip. It seems like he's always trying to make something extra happen, which is fine, but he needs to learn not to take unnecessary chances like messing with laterals and holding the football with one arm in traffic. The other team goes for the strip every time and they usually get it.
Just frustrating. That interception should have been at least 3 points for us.

that was crushing. There was a moment during that return where it looked like he had enough open field to score. To go from that to giving the ball back to them was a huge letdown. You would think that by now he would be protecting the ball more. I think he gets so jacked up he stops thinking.

At that point in the game our running game was just starting to hit its stride too... Having the ball that close to the goal would've likely given us a TD by Willis or Musa.
Just no sense in turning over a turnover...:grbac:

This is a great example of lack of discipline on the part of the coaching staff. Players need to be fined for stupid errors and penalties.

LOL.
It's a lack of discipline by the coaching staff because our safety was trying to return an INT for a TD and fumbled?
Good lord.

What exactly would you like the coaching staff to do?
