They lost to a team who had 17 net passing yards.

Still the class of the AFC North!

Ben threw 4 INTs, two ran back for TD's by Oakland....one went back for 100 yds....the Steelers were on the verge of tying the game when he did that.:rolling:

I still don't understand why they played Ben.

Made no sense.

They would've won with Batch playing.

On a side note; did anyone see the cover of Men's Health? It reads something to the "effect of how to become NFL tough", and Turdsburger is the guy who is supposed to show you.

More steelers fans just crawled back under the rock they were hiding under. They're probably be seen in a few weeks wearing Colts or Bears gear... maybe even Patriots gear they bought a few years ago

I refuse to say they're done though... I did that last year when they had lost 3 in a row to go 7-5.. we see how that worked out.

No way in hell the Steelers make the playoffs now. They need to be at least 10-6 to even sniff the playoffs in the AFC, and they already have 5 losses with a tough schedule ahead.

What a great day of football! We won, Cinci lost and the Steelers lose to a 1-5 team.

I'm trying to keep my enthusiasm under control since they are one game back from us and 1st place in the division. I believe they are not far from the playoffs if they get on a roll.

Oh Happy Day!!

The Ravens come marching in!!!!!

The Steelers lost to a pitiful team, the black hole.

Hotlanta did us a favor by beating the striped puddycats.

After we beat Cinci next week there will be 3 teams fighting for the basement.

Yep, I no longer view the Steelers as a legitimate threat to the division crown. Looks to be a two team race at this point.

I'm glad we played Oakland when we did, that defense is tough. That said, why does Cowher keep sending motorcycle boy out to play when he has a top backup QB? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he does. I don't see the Stillers making the playoffs, they have a tough 9 game schedule to go. We win this coming Sunday & put some space between us & the Bengals, plus give us a 2-0 division record.

I'm still not willing to write them off - they're probably the best 2-5 team in the league.

I'll write them off if for no other reason than they followed up a loss with another loss...to one of the 5 worst teams in the NFL. That right there tells me something is wrong with this team.

They are very talented obviously, but they don't have the hunger they had last year.

I think after today, the Raider fans would beg to differ

I disagree, thier problem is Worthlessburger. He used to win them games against great teams, now he loses them games against bad teams.

That's not saying much, cause there are no other good 2-5 teams in the NFL. There aren't even any mediocre 2-5 teams.

The Steelers have yet to beat a team with a winning record, and they still have six games against teams with a winning record. The WORST they can do to have a glimmer of hope at the playoffs is go 8-1 the rest of the year. Do you honestly think it's possible?

I'd be SHOCKED.

Man Rule: Read BS's posts 3 or 4 times, then touch beer bottles by the bottom.

As for the Steelers- They are done as far as the playoffs or repeating, but they could still mess us up. So while I giggled today, I tried to keep it in perspective.

The Steelers are done. The Ravens came back to the playoffs after they won a Super Bowl. Something the Steelers couldn't do.

They are cooked and quite tender at this point.

As a previous poster said, they need to go 8-1 (minimum) to make the playoffs in the AFC. They still have to play us twice, Denver, at Carolina and finish up at Cincy. Tough. And since they already have 4 conference losses, they likely would not survive a tiebreaker.

The Oakland game was a must win. The Raidahs put a couple nails in their coffin. Denver may pound the rest in next week.

God they have some fickle asshole fans. One of the Yinzers on the Steelers board is trying to get people to boo Ben on Sunday because "he needs to hear it". What happened to the "Big Ben: Godsend" sign?

It's hilarious. People screaming for Ben to be benched and Cowher to be fired, saying Hines Ward sucks now and his head got too big. Then there's some who think they can still turn it around and make the playoffs.

They are definitely done, and deservedly so. This was a must-win game and they knew it, and somehow they managed to blow it. To Oakland!

BTW, have you all seen the stats for this game? I just read them -- weird. Oakland got outgained 360 to 98 and still managed to win, thanks to the turnovers. Oakland had nine first downs -- NINE! And still they won.

Thanks, Ben.
