View Full Version : Did anybody just see the commercial for NYG/CHI?

On Sunday Night Football??
They showed some clips from each team and the flex scheduling and said "in 2 weeks" blah blah blah and then, after all of that, at the very end, flashed a clip of Mike Vick and a clip of Ray Lewis...
seems like a big coincidence considering that that game (Falcons @ Ravens) is one week after the NYG/CHI game, doesn't it...
or...

I saw that too. I was just going to make a post about it. It would definitely be a very appealing primetime game.

for the record, i hope it stays at 1:00, but I am 95% sure this will be flex game #2.
The only other game involves the colts, and does NBC want thme on 2 out of 3 weeks (they play the Pats next week)

I have tickets for this game too, and I hope it stays at 1PM. I will be pissed if it's moved to night

Night games suck....unless you like getting home at 3 in the morning.
I was really looking forward to the Falcons game...I hope they don't change the time for that one. I've made up my mind that unless it's a playoff game...I am not going to night games.

But Sunday Night Football doesn't start as late, so you're not out quite as late either. I'm home by midnight, earlier if we blow them out.
Besides, Michael Vick vs. our defense at home? Two potential playoff teams doing battle? That's worthy of a national audience.

That's probably true if you live near Baltimore.......I live 80 miles away...an hour and a half drive. If the game goes into overtime, like the Steelers game did in 2003...I won't get home until between 2-3 am.
I'm just hoping that's not the game that gets changed to a night game.

I don't like night games either, but you must admit that this one is shaping up to be one that people will want to watch. Night games are a by-product of being successful.

Please note that if any board members cant attend I will be more than happy to take those tickets off your hand and compensate you accordingly.

I can probably use a few extras for that game. If they do switch it send me your ticket info!

Unfortunately for those that don't like night games..it will most likely be the game.
The only other possibilities are Indy/Dallas and SD/Denver, and I doubt they'd put SD/Denver on because of a lack of marquee names.

We out-of-area fans like night games, becuse we actually get to see them, instead of having to endure the stupid green cartoon on NFL.com 'game action'. :)

Makes sense it would happen, the media is nuts about Vick and I'm sure would love to showcase him. I must admit the thought of watching Vick toast Rolle all evening isn't that appealing to me.

Man some of you guys sound old! j/k
I do understand the complaints, though. However, I'll be selfish and say that since this is one of the 2 games I get to go to this season, I really hope its moved. Nothing beats the energy of a nationaly televised game.

Man I'm so sick of that song between the baseball playoffs and NFL games. Cornball patriotism is really in these days though.
