Just got a page that CMAC is on IR (knee). Willie Gaston was signed off the PS to replace him.

that sucks but in the big picture is probably the best thing to do. To have him out there jeopardizing is health further for a 4-9 season isn't really too bright.

Might as well do the same for Heap.

Apparently we signed Gaston as a UDFA in May. Here (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/2006/draft/players/3037.html) is a little about him.

Shame for Cmac to go down, but you might aswell not risk any of these guys making the situational worse for them injury wise. When the season is dead.

Didn't he play against Cincy last month? I think he was number 44 and was pretty well scorched throughout.

It's about time, these nagging injuries only hang on longer when they try to play. Yes, they should IR Heap and probably Rolle and maybe even Ogden. Why keep them playing when the season is over.

People love to bash CMac- and in the past they had plenty of good reasons to- but you can't say a bad word about him this year. I first remember seeing him limp in Cleveland back in September, before Braylon Edwards burned him.
He showed a lot of heart playing vs Randy Moss on one leg. The poor guy could not even stride.

C-Mac when totally healthy is without a doubt a top 3 corner in this league. There is simply no debate about that.
But that knee needs to totally heal next year or we could be looking at the end of McAlister's great career as a CB.

Miami now has a better chance of beating us. :(

Gaston played against Cincy and actually played OK for a guy who wasn't supposed to play.
And JBurns is dead on.
Kudos to Cmac for giving it a go vs Cleveland and especially NE.
He probably should've been IR'd awhile ago but he toughed it out even though this team was going nowhere.
Of all the Ravens, he's grown up the most. And along with his talent, has become a favorite of mine.
I always admired his talent and he's got the whole package now.

Yeah no real reason to play him. Only going make those nagging injuries worst. Might as well do the same to Heap, Rolle, Scott.

i expected this move weeks ago, but I guess he was trying to go out and stay afloat...Let him heal up so he can be 100% next year!
Corey Ivy...please PLEASE prove me wrong and be a decent spot starter.

Rest that knee and come back strong next season!
