If I were Kyle Boller I'd be ashamed that I still havent learned how to make quick decisions and not hold onto the ball until Sunday Mass is over!

Save it...OK! That's crap...An Offensive line is supposed to block:taz: How could the O-line allow Jason Taylor a free b-line to our QB....twice??:229031_confused2: How come Tom Brady can hold the ball 5-7 seconds in the pocket and make a play:187734: :229031_confused2:

A fewm times Boller held the ball too long but Jason Taylor was unblocked a few times as well. Boller played plenty well enough to win yesterday and if Darling holds onto that long pass it probably is a win. Not to mention Stover missing 2 FGs.

A ball launching machine couldn't successfuly get one off behind our line.

On one of the sacks Boller was staring at Daniel Wilcox in the far left side of the end zone from start to finish. If boller didn't keyhole Wilcox he would have saw the unblocked defender getting a bead on him from the right side.

The offensive line missed some assignments but lets not pretend Boller wasn't at fault for some of these sacks/hits.

:nerd: And where were you watching the game from that you could see all that, the field??:eyes:

OK you have Taylor, one of the best DE's in the NFL. You see him on film,
you know what you are getting. They moved him all over the place.

If the line is having trouble, you go to max protect. And run quick patterns and get the ball out of there quickly. No we just stick to the same plays and get crushed.

Did we run any quick slants.Do we even have quick slants in our pass route tree?

I was going to say that we might not because the O practices against Ray Lewis, but they don't, do they?

OK, you got me on that one.

To be fair, if you prepared for the Jason Taylor of this season. You'd see a lazy bugger who has done sod all this year and hasn't put in 100% on a series of downs let alone a game since about week 4 or 5. He's been an absolutely horrible leader down there in Miami and I know a fair few Dolphins fans who are more than a little disappointed with his attitude this year.

Not saying he's not still got that talent, but on this year's showing I wouldn't (and seemingly most coaches in the NFL) scheme to take him out like they have in previous years. That's clearly no excuse for him going unblocked, he is the best pass rusher on that Dolphins line still, but we should've been able to handle him one on one considering how he's played this year.

For anyone suggesting that the QB taking a hit from an unblocked lineman is his fault, that's just barmy. The only situation in which that is his fault is the shared responsibility with the centre for not getting the blocking scheme called to know where he was. Once the snap is off it's the offensive line's responsibility to block Taylor, it is not the QB's responsibility to watch the rush for an unblocked rusher, that's exactly what you don't want your QB doing. If you have an unblocked rusher, unless he's slow, you aren't gonna get to your second read, if your first read isn't open you're taking a hit, Boller had to put up with that on Sunday.

Everyone's getting on Boller (holds it too long), and the OLine (can't block anything). I want to throw the recievers into the mix. I thought Kyle had half a chance to throw on a few plays, and actually went through a read or two. Problem was, no one was open and he ended up getting killed.

How about the deep ball to Mason down the right sideline. Stop and Go route, man to man coverage, safety playing deep middle. This same situation burned our secondary more times than I can count this year. Boller reads the safety rotation and throws go, just like its drawn up. But -- Mason isn't even close to running by his defender and the pass is nearly picked off.

Maybe this is part of the reason we haven't thrown deep all year - our receivers can't get behind anyone. All that said, my final synopsis: It all stinks.
