A Little Bit Of Class

While all of us are reveling in the Steelers one-and-out performance yesterday, in what was a very entertaining game (if you're a jags fan), I'd like to give some kudos to Big Ben. Here was a guy who had both a horrible and great game yesterday, only to lose in the end, yet he demonstrated quite a bit of class by purposely waiting for Gerrard's post-game intereview to be completed yesterday, in order to congratulate him. Kudos to you Big Ben - more athletes should demonstrate such class! And, yes, I tip my hat to Mr Ward, as well. What a competitor! Give me a team made up of both the Heinz Wards and Derrick Masons of the world, and I'll be one happy owner!

I'm not sure I even understand what you're talking about -- he waited until Garrad's post-game interview was completed so he could congratulate him? What was he supposed to do, interrupt the interview to congratulate him?

If you're referring to the mere fact that he congratulated him at all, regardless of the timing, I agree that was a nice move, but I'm sure he didn't have to wait around for hours to do it.

Regarding his performance, it was definitely up and down, but it was more bad than good IMHO. If one of our QBs threw three ints and lost a fumble, half this board would probably be all over him.

Really ward has class, did you not see him all game getting in Jags players facs, screw that they have no class and I'm so happy they are done, they suck, ben sucks, ward sucks, and that city is shit.....screw em all

He could've just headed to the locker room, and be done with it. But he chose to hang around after the game - I like that! As far as Ward getting in the faces of the opposing players, I like that - he is my kind of player!! Still, it made my evening, and helped make the rest of my year more palatable, with us having beaten the Steelers (in the last game), and them doing their best Ravens one-and-out in the playoffs imitation!
