This is the list that always makes me happy. This is just off the top of my head so not even close to complete.

JJ Reddick
Junior Seau
Randy Moss
Dante Stallworth
Mike Mussina
Chad Johnson
Terrell Owens
Jason Giambi
Alex Rodriguez
Barry Bonds
Joey "Albert" Belle

Who are your most hated players in sports that you revel in them never winning a championship?

I don't know why anyone would consider Mussina hated? Pete screwed around with him and then lowballed him. He then got an offer from the most storied franchise in baseball and took it. I would have done the same thing.

I didn't think Junior Seau was hated, except for in SD when he took their one day contract, then turned around an unretired.

I actually don't hate Chad. I used to but he seems ok when interviewed. Evidently he wants to sit out next year if Marvin doesn't work towards trading him. Wonder how much one will hate chad with a purple mohawk?

Dan Marino
Chris Collingsworth
Chris Carter

Mussina is hated by more than loved, even here. He took the $ & ran & he is the curse of the Yankees. HAHAHA

I'll have to think about it more & see what else I come up with.

Bettis was on the list until the Refs & NFL let him have a title in his last game

What kind of team leaves there ace pitcher hanging in limbo and then lowballs him at the last minute? Only one team, the Orioles. Why should Mussina have shown loyalty to a team that left him hanging? And why wouldn't any baseball player who wasn't raised an Oriole fan not go to a perrenial contender for more money?

The Orioles, but it wasn't all Angelos. I think the Orioles final offer was around the Yankees, but with more deferred. At least he has as many rings as the Orioles since he left, 0!!!

Remember these are MY most hated players who have not won a championship. I am not trying to say they are THE most hated as in everyone's. I want to know who else everyone would put on the list.

...Oh and I left out Patrick Ewing (NBA championship, I know he won one at Georgetown)

I got one for you. Not really on my most hated list because he played on a team I rooted for, but I'm sure he is at the top of many lists.
Dale Hunter

Judging from the way he conducts himself on the ice, Hunter probably doesn’t receive hordes of Christmas cards from players on opposing squads. Hunter, a 17–year pro, has always been one of those in–your–face players who others hate lining up against while secretly wishing he was a teammate.
Hunter achieved notoriety for rough play and committing penalties. In particular, he delivered a check to Pierre Turgeon from behind during Game 6 of the Patrick Division semifinals between the Capitals and New York Islanders long after Turgeon had scored a final goal in the Islander's defeat of the Capitals. Turgeon sustained a separated shoulder from the hit, causing him to miss the following playoff series against the Pittsburgh Penguins and much of the series against the Montreal Canadiens.
Hunter currently has the second-most penalty minutes in NHL history. When the Capitals retired his #32 jersey, he was presented with a penalty box at the retirement ceremony. As of the end of the 2005-06 NHL season, he holds the record for most number of playoff games played without playing for a Stanley Cup-winning team, at 186 games.

I liked Dale Hunter, but of course I am a fan of said team too. I bet it makes a big difference with a player like that.

Mussina is at the top of my list. He would not let the O's trade him for prospects at the trade deadline. He said he would give the O's a chance to match any offer...he didn't. I hope that he never wins a championship, Cy Young or 20 games.

Then it's...Barry Bonds and A-Rod

Memory doesn't serve you well. The O's and Mussina had an agreement in principle and Angelos yanked it off the table saying he would have to give more of a home-town discount. The Yanks came in later with a much higher offer in total, so he walked. He could easily see the writing on the wall (what Angelos would do to this franchise), was going to one of the best franchises in the sport, and was getting a lot more money to do so. As if that was even a decision.

Before Mussina left, I told anyone that would listen that I wouldn't spend another penny on the Orioles until Angelos was no longer the owner if we lost him. After Cal he was my favorite player. And to this day I've lived up to that promise.

Mussina isn't the one to blame here. Not even a little bit.

Jeremy Shockey has a ring now but how satisfying is it when you don't contribute?

I can't believe he wasn't at least on the sideline with his team. That was BS, up in his suite drinking during the game...

I didn't think Junior Seau was hated, except for in SD when he took their one day contract, then turned around an unretired.

That's the very reason why I don't like Junior Seau. The way he cried up on the stage and thanked the Dolphins and Chargers organizations for his years of playing footbool and how he'll miss the game. Then to accept an offer from the patriots four days after his "retirement" is a joke and a disgrace.

Two years and no Super Bowl ring! How's that decision working for you now?

:ref: I'm off my soap box now.

Anyone who blames Mussina for why he left the Os doesn't have a good grasp of the reality.

First, The Os didn't give the guy a contract extension when they had the chance. A year before he left, they could have gotten him for no more than 5 years 60 mil.

In his FA year, the Os offer 5 years 50 mil. That's barely market value, probably low, especially since it carrried at least 2 mil a year deferred very far into the future. Mussina certainly rejects it as too low. Angleos ups it to 5 years 60 mil in the spring, again with at least 10 mil deferred. This is way below market value.

Angelos offers 6 years 72 mil in the last month of the season. Mussina declines at that point, the press says to going rate for Mussina should be $15 mil a year. They proved to be right.

Angleos withdraws the offer, so no offer is on the table. Says he will not go 15 mil a year.

In November, Yankees, Red Sox and Mets entertain Mussina and are in the bidding. I guess at this point Angelos figures out he may lose Mussina, because

Os prepare to offer 6 years, 78 mil. Higher, but still below market value.

6 days later Mussina signs with Yankees for 6 years, 88.5 mil.

Angelos failed to sign the player when there was enough time left on his contract to be interested in signing now. He thought Mussina would be content with "Angelos-time", like in the litigation world. Wrong. He low balls Mussina. Wrong. He withdraws all offers. Wrong. He comes back in when he realizes he may lose him. Wrong.

No way you blame Mussina for this one. No one would have let themselves be treated that way.

Maybe Angelos should be on your list of people who have not won a championship!
