1 completion on 7 attempts for 12 yards in his "SB Champion" year.
That's akin to saying Chris Redman is a SB Champion for SB 35

I see you can respond to this, but not to the "double standard" thread. What? You don't like being exposed?

Boller and Wright are almost identical players. I'd give a slight edge to Wright I'm sure others might give the edge to Boller. Difference being Wright was an UFA and Boller cost the Ravens 2 extremely high picks.
Boller has never earned the QB job in Baltimore through his play. His place on the depth chart was dictated only by his lofty draft status.

Don't state the obvious, you might get warned.

This is where all the venom was created. Boller was picked way too early and also cost a couple of picks to get him. Most fans don't have a high tolerance for players who are tauted as blue chippers and dont perform like one. I'm not sure where the blame should fall, on the scouting dept or the athlete who elevates himself through the drafting process, in the end the fans were the ones who lose out and suffer.
Anthony Wright was a nobody (still is) and did the best he could playing for our beloved ravens. It didnt cost the Ravens anything to give him a shot. And in the end he led the team to a division championship. Sure He had help with the defense and a sound running game but so did Manning. The difference is Manning is a first rounder and got the Giants as far as they could go, the super bowl.
At this point Boller and Anthony Wright are backups but the joke is on us because now even Anthony Wright has a SB ring. So right now you have to say that wright is one of the better Backups in the league.

AWright is not even #2, he's #3 behind Jared Lorenzen.
regardless...I'm happy for him. always good to see ex-Ravens do well, and by all accounts he's good people.
I guess Tony Banks has a ring. (who was our #3 that year? anyone remember?)

Tony Banks was better than Boller and Wright. Banks was good people too

I don't agree about Banks being 'better' but really who cares. With the exception of Jeff Blake and Elvis Grbac we've had a nonstop train of 'good people' taking snaps for a decade here.
Anyway, good for Wright, and Lorenzen, and everyone but Shockey and Eli, who both annoy me.

Its funny you say Shockey and Eli, because one started doing A LOT better when the other one wasn't around....
Oh, and here's a little tidbit for you all: After four seasons, Eli Manning is 36-28 as a starter and has a Super Bowl ring; after four seasons, Peyton Manning was 32-32 as a starter and lacked a playoff victory.
