Didn't see a thread on this - but they refer to this board for fan reaction to NFL Network and Thursday games.

Pretty much a non-story here. People without NFL Network can't see the game, much as people without cable or satellite can't see Monday Night Football. That's the way it is. If you didn't purchase NFL Network in some fashion, you don't get it! I can't use my Circuit City card at Best Buy, put me on CNN.
The writer paints a picture of things being quite different this year, "The last bits of turkey have been gnawed off the bone, only crumbs remain of the pumpkin pie and in living roo ms far and wide, Americans amble to their couches to stare at some football. That is Thanksgiving as we know it. But this year, the NFL will throw a twist into that time-honored formula by offering the Denver Broncos vs. the Kansas City Chiefs on its own cable network."
But it's not different at all. There haven't been NFL Thanksgiving night games in the past so no one can miss what they never had. It's a bunch of blabber. NFL Network isn't part of Comcast's analog package, like 100's of other channels are not, case closed. It's like the poster said, it's not an entitlement....unless the new Congress gets a hold of it.

Ted despises entitlements.
You nailed that right. The only "entitlement" that I think we should have is what the Bill of Rights provides. When did the NFL become a welfare provider?:rolling:

Hey, Comcast is saying the areas of their network that don't have the NFLN on the digital tier can't get it because the NFL is suing them. I live in Southern York County, PA, have Comcast Digital & that's why we don't have it. They said they can't add it until the suit is settled. I talked to Seth Palansky, spokesman for the NFL Network & he told me Comcast has their permission to add the channel throughout their whole network & shouldn't be telling their customers this. I'm not looking for entitlement, I'm paying for digital. I mean we have to pay an extra $2 a month for the Angelos network, & all the NFLN wants is $0.70 per month per subscriber. I would rather have the NFLN than MASN.

The question that I have is: Who is it on the Sun staff that reads this board? The article was written by Childs Walker, who I'm not familiar with at all.
Anyone know this person?
I'm really just curious, doubt if it means much.

I'd prefer staying unmentioned. This board's signal:noise ratio is extremely high. When word starts getting out, it gets a lot worse with the trolls and other folks that just want to talk smak or put up pointless crap...
