I was thinking, and no i didn't hurt myself. But with the spygate bull going on, it's a perfect time for someone like Ryan to lobby for the mic helmet for Defense.

I mean i have wanted that for the D too. ryan said in the past he would love it. he should be making a point to have it. Now it might not happen, But me 4 one would love to see the D get that helmet too.

just my opinion!!

Isn't the point of being loud when your team is on defense to make it tougher for the offense to hear the play coming in? If the D gets the mic helmet too then you're also hurting them. Unless you want the crowd to quiet down? :187734:

'Splain yourself Lucy! Ok, they have the ball, we are on defense, the crowd gets loud.... (our crowd, our defense) ... wouldn't the mic'ed D helmet help US?.. :grbac:

In the noisy din of M & T Bank Stadium when our D is on the field, I'd suggest that hand signals are easier to comprehend than having a hearing loop in the helmet of the MIKE backer or someone else.

The point is, he is suggesting giving the defense a mic in the helmet so they can get the signals from the sideline through there rather than using hand signals. If the crowd is roaring, it will impede the D from hearing through their headset as well as the offense. Pretty simple to understand I thought? :insane:

Although I don't know Ryan's position on this issue, I do believe that the Ravens were one of the teams voting against giving the D a mic helmet in the 2007 off season.
