This guy - AdamJT - has been projecting Comp picks for the last couple of years and has been amazingly accurate about it.

He's got us getting a 3rd (AD), 4th (Pashos), 6th (Mughelli) and 7th (Frankin).

He also give a great explanation of how the whole process works.

That'd be incredible if we got four picks including a 3rd and 4th. Would love to see us get that and trade back to pick up an extra 2nd or something along those lines. Time to stock up on some decent talent.

This guy has been making these predictions for many years now and B-more is right, his track record is excellent.

We rarely get a comp pick as high as a three, so that's good news.

Thanks for the Link Ravor, I have to agree his projections have been pretty well on the mark.

What he said .... if someone is offering a resonably decent value for the #8 pick. We need lots of good young & fast athletes to start climbing back up the ladder. The only rookies that I would not consider tossing in a trade down situation, in the unlikely event that they fell that fall, would be one of the Longs. Then again, if the price were right .......

Most ways that I can see the first 7 pics going would make me want to trade back as well, and would if certain players weren't still on the board, and an out of the division team offered much of anything. I think most of the players in the 8-20 range are very similar and it wouldn;t take much to get me to trade back into that range. That said, I doubt we find a partner, unless certain people fall.
At 8 I would pick;
Ryan, either Long, or Gholsten
else I would try and trade back. Worst case scenario, BPA. A DT at this slot may be BPA but that'd be a cap buster, or wave bu-bye to Ngata's 2nd deal, or in the very least Gregg by week 6...

Back on topic, I think the abundance of compensatory picks each year is a big part of why the Ravens draft so well. It allows us to amass selections and take risks and cover a lot of bases, It also allows us to do things like last year's many trades due to our 4 additional picks.
