McGahee continues to concern me with his average performances. I know it's only pre-season, but this was his MO in Buffalo.

I think willis will be fine by the time the season starts. He was pretty solid last year in a tough situation. If we can keep most of the starters healthy, improve the turnover ratio and reduce penalties, we will be a contender and Willis will have huge numbers.

he doesn't concern me as much because Ray Rice is looking DY-NO-MITE! The way he's been playing, I could see a potential RB rotation at somepoint this season.

Tony provides the best cam coverage. Very thorough.

I am not discouraged by Flacco. Overall, his body of work is far ahead where someone from a division AA school usually is. I'd say that Flacco's future is midseason the earliest. Ideally, let him sit for the season. I think Smith ends up the starter.

Boller will start, it seems. Also...his overall body of work is not far ahead of where someone from division AA usually is, but his draft slot was...not passing judgement, just saying...

i have heard the same thing about boller that i have heard in past years.he makes 2 good passes then 4 horrible throws.i think flacco is more poised now then boller has ever been.who am i to judge but i think boller sucks.he has some good things to him but it isnt his ability to guide a team to the playoffs or for that matter a win on the road.just not a boller fan.

Boller has ONE decent practice and some call for him to be starting.

Ponderous man. F-cking Ponderous.

boller only looks good because he's playing the same old "dump off" or "short pass" game that our O has been for the past 5 years.

Tony, great indepth inside the numbers reporting.Just what we out of towners need, helping the feeling of actually being there.

Camp sounds more like a scene from M*A*S*H.Exactly want you don't want with a new offensive system and coaching staff.Hopefully everything will start to come together. And everyone can get in the reps they need before the regular season starts.

Antwan Barnes' development really excites me. As he becomes a more rounded LB, he should get more reps and allow Bart to blitz more, and give us a bit more freedom to run different packages as we did when AD was here.

I'm going to camp tomorrow and look forward to seeing him in action.

Its nice to know that Baltimore Raven Linebacker Central is still alive and kicking.
And hopefully we can add Barnes into to the glowing repertoire of good/great LB's they have had in purple & black.

Now if we can just expand that to the QB position.I'd be :happyanim

i sense a little :261695: here.....but think for a second here.if flacco makes 3 really nice passes in 2 days in training camp thats 2 more then boller does in that entire week.and i am only talking about in 7 on 7 drills....as soon as boller hears a footstep or thinks he might get hit with a breeze he turns into a dancer and dont know what the hell to do.the point is boller is terrible and always will be where is drew olsen?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?:D

Drew Olsen is playing for Carolina...but seriously, I doubt he'd be a better option. The fact of the matter is, Boller got ruined, at least here anyway...Troy is a guy who still needs to develop but given that Boller runs a play it safe offense that plays, as BB did, "not to lose, but not to win either", he needs to step up to lead this team in the intermediary...

The reason we love hearing about Flacco's awesome throws is because it respresents just another step towards the day when he can outplay Boller and Troy and whoever else we find, step up and lead this team to greatness. I think the majority of opinions at the camps I've been to are that Flacco looks amazing, but he needs some time looking amazing in the shadows and some time for our OL to be able to stand on it's own two legs, before we can throw him out there.

My kingdom for a receiving corps that inspires fear in our opponents!!

Yeah, I have been trying to get them to go after a #1 WR for years, but they are hard to find.

I was trying to get Moss from the raiders right after we played them and he was wide open but never got a pass, week 2 2006 I knew the Raiders were in big trouble and Moss could be the bargain of a lifetime.

I am thinking we should try to trade Suggs for Boldin or to Lions for Williams. They are going to want about the same money, and a good pass rusher/ LB is still a lot easier to find than a dominant young #1 WR.

Then again there are more guys who make an impact from the lower rounds at WR than there are QBs or RBs. I think we may have some serious talent in our WR core right now, we just need to find a better way to get them the ball.
Mason can do a lot more than 2 yard outs. Clayton was incredible after the catch in 2006 when he got the ball in stride, and Williams looked like he could basically out jump almost any defender in the NFL for the deep ball, as well as some nice moves and speed on short hitch routes.

This year they brought in some nice sized rookkie WRs, and Figurs seems to have improved his hands. We may have drafted the next Ward, Colston or Whosyurmama already. It is even possible, not unreasonable to think that if he had been healthy and playing with Carson Palmer, Clayton could've had an Ocho Stinko type season in 06.
We need some better run production and pass protection, and some solid QB play, and a real #1 would help, but I am not at all disapointed with the overall talent and prospects currently at the WR position.

I also see about 15 LBs in camp and a really nasty looking defense even wit Reed, Suggs and Rolle out of the mix. There also seems to be about 10 wrs in camp and only 1 1/2 tackles though so injuries could once again be the main force shaping the roster.

i was kidding about olsen.

now boller on the other hand i like that he is tough and never blames anyone but himself.to me that shows a classy guy that is all about the team.another thing you never hear him bitch about who we bring in at QB.he just strap up and goes out there and compete for his job year after year.with that said....

as a player and his performance,he sucks!!!!!id love to play catch and drink a few beers and pick his brain.because he seems to be a level headed guy.i just never wanna see him on the football field again.great athlete with alot of skill but he just cant seem to figure this game out and i feel when you make the NFL its time to put up and play well or stay home and find another job.
