When it rains, it pours for those guys.

From the article:

The infection basically deteriorated the new tendon to the point that Bentley will require another surgery to repair the tendon. The surgery can't be done right away because Bentley's body still hasn't completely healed from the staph infection. Bentley will now likely wait until as late as he possibly can to have another surgery, which could be July or August, still giving him enough time to be ready for the 2008 season.

While I'll never feel sorry for the Clowns, I do feel bad for Bentley. Losing two seasons in a row, I wouldn't wish that on any player. NFL careers are typically short enough.
Hold on a second...
More from the article:

Bentley, who signed a six-year, $36 million contract which included a $12 million signing bonus...
Then again, I don't feel too bad for him after all.

There are exactly two things that can make a NFL player run screaming like a 12 year old girl.

One is being asked to be the Madden cover boy.

The other is being a first round pick by the Browns.

Or in Bentley's case, a FA acquisition.

Look at Gary Baxter. Never hurt as a Raven, but in Cleveland he's had all kinds of pectoral problems and this year, while falling down after a play, tore the patellar tendons in BOTH knees. I find this beyond unbelievable. Smart money says that Baxter will never play again. Too bad...he was a good safety.

:grbac:

Let's see if I can make up some believable BS to make me look not quite as stupid.

I meant the Cleveland Curse would be passed on to Betley since Faine and he switched places.

If that didn't work then...uhmmm... oh look, a dork in glasses. :nerd:
Let's pick on him and... ah crap.

Wait, there's a guy in touch with his softer side.:p
I bet he reads poetry and... son-of-a-motherless goat herder.

Ok, here's a gap-toothed hill-billy.:069:
Let's mock him because... .... you've got to be freaking kidding.

I see what's happening now.
These emoticons are offensive to dorky rednecks who read a lot. I demand action.

Baxter was hurt here & never played Safety. He would have made a better Safety ten cornerback, but I'll think we'll never know.

What about Leon Searcy, who missed like 3 straight years, including 1 here? Talk about a guy snakebitten!!!!

He never had a major injury while in Baltimore, and yes he did play safety here...

Curse of the Browns' C continues...

Next week, I bet Hank Fraley falls down an up escalator and breaks his feet (not foot, FEET).
