View Full Version : What are you looking for vs the Vikings?

In preseason game #2 I am looking for improvement in the following areas:
1st team Off moves the ball better and gets in the endzone
- More yards per carry
- fewer turnovers
The offense really needs to start stepping up from all groups...Oline, WRS, RBS, QB. I am esp. excited to see Lorenzo Neal doing some damage.
I'd like to see Flacco sustain a drive and look more poised.
The D and ST looked solid last week so I expect the same.
Thoughts?

I'm looking for some definitive answers at QB. I'd either like to see Troy play himself into the starting job, or play himself out of the starting job. Either way, I'll be satisfied.
What I expect, however, is something much more up and down that keeps the QB question unanswered.
I'd also like to see Flacco complete a pass. Baby Steps!

I'd like to see the team build on what they showed vs the Pats, at least we will know they are moving in the right direction.
If all of ours QB's get through the game without giving up a turnover I will be extremely happy.Troy is in the spotlight,is he a starter or backup? We should find out after this game.
Yeap like to see Flacco get into the flow of the game.If he struggles again as badly as he did. That old Raven QB doubt will start creeping into my soul.Even though I know its waaaaay to early. But we have been snakebit too much at the QB position and its starts to play out in the back of your mind, here we go again.

Any kind of competence at QB and OL...

More of Cam's offense stretching the field. I loved the fact he had Boller in shotgun off a no-huddle on 3rd and long in the first game (Boller coverted too).
Also, less turnovers. This is Troy's biggest game of his career, hands down. The job is his for the taking.

To be able to see the game live! Damnit! If I see one more Jets/Giants/whoever game.. Man living here bites!

One thing I'll be keeping an eye on is the blocking.
Not OL per se, but the support.
How far along is Rice picking up a blitz?
And Neal the same.
Who gets the TE help most often and is the TE an effective blocker or chipper?
We know the center of the OL is solid (minus a little more gelling), and the tackles are the weak link... so seems a good time to me to be watching what kind of tackle support we have from others, cause there will be times during the season where Gaither/Terry will need some extra help for certain plays to be executed .... and the now starting tackles may very well not be the regular season starters, but the support staff will be, so this game I watch there.

Personally, I'd love to see more than 5 total starters on the field for both sides combined.
I'd like to see Heap take the field.
I'll take an answer at QB tonight.
This all may be asking a lot.
