Did we sign a new QB or what?

Yesterday the ESPN reported we signed Harrington. Then the Sun did. Now this morning there is no link on the Sun page to the signing and all they say now is :

According to ESPN.com, the Ravens signed former Falcons quarterback Joey Harrington. The Ravens, who also worked out Chris Simms and Todd Bouman (http://www.baltimoresun.com/topic/sports/todd-bouman-PESPT000737.topic), wouldn't confirm any signing.

"We need a backup quarterback for the game," Harbaugh said.

It's unknown whether the addition of a free-agent quarterback is a temporary move. The Ravens likely will know by Friday whether Boller can play this season.

Maybe there is a chance we still get Simms....probably not but who knows. I just wish it was Sunday already!

actually, all things considered, Bouman might be the best signing...

If we intend to back Flacco as the long term starter, he's most likely to accept a backup job where there's no chance of starting eventually. He'll also be cheaper than Harrington, and probably less prone to make mistakes. Plus he's older, so he'd be a somewhat good mentor.

That said, he's the least accomplished of any of them. And if we're counting on this guy to start, Bouman signals "pack it up, season over"

reports are now tabbing Bouman as the guy. Which i'm only marginally happier with, and proves that we're banking on Flacco to be the starter long term, or banking on either Boller or Smith to return to start.

It was on the Sun site yesterday that we signed Harrington. Check the article. The Sun doesn't have the story, they got it from ESPN. Who oh by the way were the ones that broke the story that we signed Harrington.

It is shocking to me that anyone believes ESPN on this, literally 24 hours after they f*cked up the last reported QB signing...
