By the way, I thought of this icon during the pregame show yesterday with Shannon Sharpe: :bag:

Someone fill me in with the deal concerning Shannon Sharpe. I never catch the pregames due to being in church at that point.

I've got to disagree with the timeout criticism. Ray thought the D was disorganized and unready for the personnel the Steelers had on the field. That's his job as the Quarterback of the D if he sees something he doesn't like to call timeout and get them organized. As usual the people who second guess never have all the facts!

I also thought the timeout criticism was unjust. The Steelers were disorganized, but they were going to get a QB sneak run. The Ravens did not have their optimal team on to defend it (they had Johnson, Pryce, Suggs, their speed rushers). They needed Ngata and Gregg.
Good timeout, bad result.

Ray Lewis called the timeout? Damn, Billick never said a word. He is SO loyal to his players, and I have yet to see him point a finger, at least in public. Would that all the NFL people were as honorable. Boller also never blames anyone for errors. J.O. and Mason (amongst others) as great as they are don't hesitate to vent on people when they feel those people screwed up.
Peyton Manning is the world champion at it.

As usual the people who second guess never have all the facts!
The Ravens swept the Steelers for the first time in their history by a combined winning score of 58-7 and one could argue the 7 was a gift courtesy of an ill-advised time out at the end of the first half…
What exactly are "the facts" F Angelos?
In my opinion, the Ravens would have been better off taking their chances there with the clock running and a seemingly unorganized Steelers offense than to give them a chance to reset. I'll take the Ravens D in a moment of chaos over the Steelers O any day. It's an opinion, nothing more. If you don't agree, that's cool. It makes the board more interesting anyway.
But what exactly are the facts?
Can we get a relay of the Shannon Sharpe quote? Many of us missed it.
