Just another example of how the NFL mistreats its fans -- makes people in multiple cities change their new years plans at the last minutes :grbac:

this flex scheduling and thursday night games are for the birds

put me down for 1 pm everytime

I heard they were thinking about doing that, at least we didn't get stuck with the 8 pm game. Merlin is right though about the league, why does our game have to be moved, 1 pm was perfect, I have things to do that will have to be cancelled now. O well.

I agree with you guys. Folks are always clamoring for primetime, yet these games are always drawn out because of commercials. To add, we are never the featured team, so it seems the refs are extra prepared to call penalties on us to further the cause of whatever media darling team we are facing.

Give me 1:00pm games each week and save the primetime games for the postseason.

This really sucks. The NFL is trying to make up for not showing us in primetime this year.

Thanks for screwing up my New Years NFL! I had family coming over for dinner, etc. :taz:

The NFL does not care about the fans in the stands. They did this because of the Las Vegas betting and the impact it would have on the San Diego game at 4 pm. If the game were at 1 pm and the Ravens lost, then San Diego would put their 3rd string guys in and the betting would shift to the Cardinals with the points. This would create an uneven playing field for betting and viewing by the nation as well. This way, both games at 4 pm would create uncertainty and both teams need to play their starters.

We as season ticket holders have a decision to make. Forego our New Years plans and attend the game (which is what I plan to do) or sit home and sell the ticket. I think our team deserves our support, especially for the way they played in Pittsburgh on Christmas Eve.

70,000 plus tryin' to get out of the city after the game and thousands tryin' to get into the city for New Year's Eve, should make for an interesting exit.

If SD had lost our game would be the 8pm flex. That way SD would beat Ari and then the Ravens would have to win to keep the top seed. Odd are that GB will be eliminated before they take the field making they're game meaningless.

Yes, the NFL wanted all games that have seeding impact to be played at the same time & since the Chargers are on the west coast, we, them & the Colts are all at 415.

Personally I think this is great! Not only do we get to cheer on our team but we'll get to watch the scoreboard for both the Colts/Dolphins game (also moved to 4:15pm) and the Cards/Chargers game. The playoff impact these three games will have are magnificant as it could impact the number 1, 2, and 3 spots and the bye-week. I'm not complaining one bit and will be there to enjoy the game and any post-game activites. I will add that I'm glad that we didn't get the 8:15 game but 4:15 is a great spot.

"we'll get to watch the scoreboard"

I don't know about that . . . my guess is that Billick is not going to like having the scores flashed on the board and we'll be kept guessing until the end :nerd:

Not to mention the Ravens are 0-2 in Primietime football. I'll decline that 8pm game, please and thanks

I'm sure we'll hear the "problem with the feed from the service we use" reasoning  if the scores are not shown but I have a cell phone that gets the Internet and sports scores so I can keep checking.

Well, if this ruins anyone's plans to the point that they can't go, I'd be interested in buying a ticket to the game. Email me weirddave at gmail dot com if you have an extra for sale. Not that there are a lot of Bills fans looking for tickets to this game I don't think, but I am a purple butt to put in the seat. :ww:

As long as we win I wont be minding the traffic one bit on my way to my New Years festivities.

The NFL does not give a damn about betting and what money goes where. They don't move game times in some attempt to skew betting lines, that is just ridiculous.

The league moved the game because CBS asked them to for ratings purposes, and rating purposes only.

Again, the NFL does not care about betting in Las Vegas and does its best to DISTANCE itself from the betting that goes on.

Those idiots at CBS move the game and then do not even give us the game in HD. What a bunch of crap. I still would like to ring the NFL's neck for not forcing CBS to be all HD.

I've been saying this everytime I post under a "we get no respect or national attention" thread. We have been the division leader the whole season and got one, maybe two games on CBS in HD. The rest of our HD games have been when we were on FOX, ESPN, or the NFL Network.

We were listed on hdsportsguide.com as of yesterday as the game being in HD. But today it's not. I guess CBS changed their minds.

Lucky for me that the game is in "live-def". (Patent is pending on this new word )
