I root for the Ravens however the players behave, but as we near the end of '06 one thing I'm particularly thankful for:

The players this year have been as far as I can tell completely classy when dealing with the media and the community. They communicate articulately and openly, speaking with praise for each other and those outside the organization. The public trash talking is gone, as far as I can tell, and there have been no off-field problems (read: arrests) in recent memory. The last incident as far as I can recall was BJ Sams, who won't even be wearing purple next year, and I can't remember the one before that.

We used to be the bad boys of the NFL. Now we aren't even the bad boys of the AFC North.

Counting my blessings heading into '07. . .

No need for a link, Mista T, it's just a guess I should have worded differently. I'll be more careful next time! :)

Yes, it is refreshing. Besides the lack of legal issues, the renewed focus and "all for one" attitude, as well as the lack of boisterous blabber have contributed immensely to our success. I think there is a certain level of maturity being shown that hasn't always been present before.

I'm hearing jokes about the Bengals legal problems. TO is a walking controversy. The Giants are squabbling and finger pointing. Squealer fans are grumbling about not playing Batch. The Browns and Raiders shuffled their assistant coaches. the Falcons went from 5-2 to the Mora/Vick/Mora Show.
life is good under the radar.
why wouldn't BJ be back???

Because he'll probably be missing the first quarter of the season with a suspension. Why pay him a full year for 3/4 of a year of play?

If he doesn't get suspended I don't see why they wouldn't bring him back.
