You rocked that stadium yesterday, I don't remember it being that loud all season!!
Not to toot my own horn but I got the best compliment yesterday while I was at the game. I yell at full throat every play the D is on the field. Yesterday my Dad looks at me and says "You really have no regard for your voice do you?"
I told him, "I expect to not be able to talk the day after a home game" And guess what I sound like shit today, my throat hurts, and I am loving every minute of it!!

Try a deep-chest hum. I learned this technique from a Camden Yard post a few years ago. It's more effective than a throat yell, and no Monday morning hoarseness.

You're going to have to instruct me farther on that one...

Please instruct, as my throat always kills me after a home game. I am limping through phone calls today.

You'd really have to hear it from Camden Yards, the master. My approach, which I copied from him, is to take a deep breath, hum strongly, getting my closed lips to vibrate. Then open my mouth wide and keep it up until exhausting the air from my lungs. Then repeat.
btw: Don't bother suggesting your wife or GF try it, unless you want to be accused of being a pervert!:grbac:

My dad does that T! I actually took voice lessons for 6 years and sang in chorus, so I know how to project LOUDLY without straining my vocal chords.
You want to yell in a low note or tone. Lower notes travel further than higher ones. That is why you can hear the bass of a band long before the higher notes.
Use something as a megaphone to project your noise to the field. They do make a difference. But you can't bring a real one in. The program is small and can only roll into a half-megaphone, so do that and use it on top of your mouth to keep the noise from going up and out of the stadium.
If you can bang on the seat backs, they make a nice noise.

I don't think many people will want to do it if you call it the "Deep Throat Roar", dude...:embarassed:
