As many of you know, I'm a big believer in better football statistics akin to the MoneyBall way of looking at baseball.

The final football outsiders stats came out today and have the Ravens on top of the league

http://www.footballoutsiders.com/2007/01/02/ramblings/dvoa-rankings/4768/

These take out a lot of the emotion and really get at the heart of what drives victories.

What's interesting (and this stat was in the Ravens media guide this week as well ) is that we are in the TOP TEN of offense since Billick took over. Hard to see those stats on the web unless you do the numbers separately, but something that most outsiders don't have a clue about.

My predictions

Ravens vs. Eagles in the Super Bowl

We ultimately play New England in the AFC championship (but I have my plane tickets reserved to San Diego just in case!) as NE beats San Diego the game before

This is what I am saying. I see the Chargers being upset by the Pats, because Rivers will meltdown in this playoff pressure.

I agree with both of you. I think it will be the Eagles and Ravens in the Super Bowl. Philly has the best balanced team in the NFC. Chicago will crap out offensively and Philly will wear down Chicago's defense.
