In my honest opinion these guys will most likely make it:
Derrick Mason, Ray Lewis, Jason Brown, Haloti Ngata, and Terrell Suggs.
these guys are deserving but probally won't make it:
Sam Koch and Le'ron Mclain
these guys aren't forgotten... but they just won't make it:
Bart Scott, Ed Reed, and Todd Heap

Ed Reed may get in based on popularity. Le'ron McClain should get in; he leads all FB's in rushing yards and TD's, by a LONG shot.

But remember alot of non-raven watchers might not vote for him...

I think he's being realistic. Mason is 14th in yards and 44th in TD's, based on the stats.....

O% is a mighty low number. If voting ended today, I'd feel better about that probability.

I wouldn't, Mason's more effective than half the receivers on that list but he's not flashy and doesn't have the huge fanbase to stuff the ballot boxes that other teams do, and he's not got a motor mouth like Chad Johnson to get people across the nation voting for his ego.
I also don't think Brown will make it, 80% of fans (probably higher) couldn't name the starting O-line for any team but their own, they'll vote for centres from the best teams in the conference and for names that are constantly banded around by the media like Jeff Saturday, or high picks like Nick Mangold who must be good, right? Wrong, Brown is deserving but I think at best he'll be an alternate.
Also not sold on Ngata going or deserving of going. My guess for our Pro Bowlers would be: Ray, Reed, Suggs.

My bet is Ray, Suggs and McClain.
Mason, Ngata and Koch as second alternate.
Reed he could use another pick or two in the next couple of games and then he will be there because of his name. And Ngata he is listed as DE, if he was listed as DT it would have been a no brainer.
OL.. If you could vote Willie, then maybe, Remember last year and JO!
So my bet is we will see 3-4 from Titans, they are great in passprotections and in run blocking. And then maybe two from Pats they have the rigth names and they are doing their job, and the rest will come from teams like Bills, Colts, Bolts and Texans.

How in the world could you say Ngata is not deserving of the pro bowl?:187734: The man is a monster and is only getting better. He is one of the biggest reasons we have not gave up a 100 yard rusher in forever. He keeps offensive linemen off of the linebackers and he can penetrate the line to disrupt plays in the backfield. What Ravens games have you been watching?

Brown's name is starting to work it's way into the mouths of a lot of sports pundits, so it's likely they could mention him when other teams are playing the Ravens. He's still got an uphill battle, but he could be up there soon. He and Mason are the more deserving players from the offense to get it, but neither probably will. McClain is an intriguing thought, will have to see how his 2nd half goes.
On D, Pryce and Ngata play like they should make it, but they probably won't because our pass rush favors LBs and DBs more, so a "flashier" DL like Haynesworth or Allen would get it over them. Bannan also deserves special mention, but I guess that's more because he's playing to Gregg's level. If Suggs keeps his play up, he should be there, as should Ray. Reed would be a name vote-in. Koch would be a nice suprise on ST, and I'd like to see if Nakamura, Leonhard, or Ayanbedejo might get some votes as a ST player.

Pro Bowl means top 3 at your position in your conference. Whether Ngata is slotted in as a DT or a DE (seeing as the NFL still doesn't expand its position definitions even though 1/3 of the league plays 3-4 now) I can think of at least 5 at each position who are playing better than him. I'm not disputing that he's playing well, he is, but he's not at that level. If they put 3-4 DE on the ballot I'd probably put him on my AFC ballot, but until that day he's not playing to the level of other players in th AFC.

I know Haynesworth is on the list. Who are the other 4 better than Ngata at stopping the run, dropping back in coverage, taking linemen off of our linebackers and collapsing the pocket ( even though he does not have the sack number you would think )?

Ngata will get in on the coaches and player's ballot. I'm sure any interior lineman who's played against him is still having nightmares.

You are probably right because the Pro Bowl (a worthless game) is based on flash and running your mouth. Mason shows up does his job and goes home. He has been terrific the last two years.

Ngata should be a lock. There are few DT's better than he save Haynesworth.
Mason has had a nice season but not Pro Bowl worthy.
Ray Lewis and Suggs should get in.
McClain could get a shot. He's listed as a FB but isn't exactly used as one.

If anything, McClain's TD total should get him in as a FB. He's going to have Alstott-like numbers at the end of the year.

McClain is an interesting thought.
Do they have a slot for FB or is it just lumped into RB (since some teams don't use the position per se h-back maybe
If so who is his competition? Not Neal this year :)
Ovie doing anything much?
Squeeler Kreider has one carry this year
Have to go to the other conference to find NO Karney with 2TD and 7 yards
Jax Greg Jones 0TD 13yds
So if there is a true slot for a FB, I can see him getting it.

FB is a category and I agree with R52's sentiment that having Alstott like rushing numbers could send Le'Ron to Hawaii.
Ngata I believe is down as a defensive end (not sure, no point in voting for the Pro Bowl until much later in the season), so he has no chance of making the Pro Bowl if that's the case.

I think the more the season goes on, the more you see that Ngata is a lock. Today just shows why.
I don't think Suggs makes it just yet. Ray, possibly. Mason? No chance.
Sam Koch might make it. He is one of the best punters in the league, hands down.

If Koch doesn't make it that would be a travesty, as he is easily the best punter in the NFL right now.

I still don't think he makes it. I'd be happy to be proven wrong and I think he's listed in the wrong spot, he's a 3-4 end but he's not an end, he's tackle, he should be down as a DT and he'd make it there with Haynesworth and the likes. But listed as an end a 3-4 guy never has any chance against 4-3 DEs putting up gaudy stats, he'll be deserving but most fans around the country voting for DE will just look for gaudy sack numbers which Ngata won't have and he'll suffer for. As I said, love to be wrong, he deserves to go but if he's down as a DE, I don't see him getting enough votes from the fan section which really shouldn't be part of the vote.

I agree that Koch should get in, along with Ray and Suggs. Reed and Mason aren't getting in because they really haven't done that much at all. Ngata's gotta go this year. We haven't allowed a 100 yard rusher in 27 games?? He has to lead all DT's with 2 INT's this year. I guess I'm thinking of him as a tackle, but I agree he has no chance as an end.

Ngata is a mortal lock as an all-pro, I give him 95% chance at Pro Bowl. Both Brown and Grubbs have good shots as well.

If you go to vote on nfl.com, they do have Ngata listed as a DT. I know there was some controversey that if he was listed as a DE, he wouldn't stand a chance. But he's listed as a tackle, so he should be a lock. Hopefully.

Ray is a LOCK.
Suggs is a LOCK.
Ngata had better be a LOCK as a DT.
Koch should be a LOCK.
L-Train should be a LOCK.
Willis McGahee will make it based on TD total.
Reed may make it on reputation.
Throw in a couple of our O-linemen and we should have a pretty awesome representation at the meaningless celebration of good players.

In which case, he's got a good chance, hope he's able to make it, he's certainly in a group of 5 or 6 guys worth it this year. Just gotta hope there aren't any people left over from last year that are going to make it as a make up for being snubbed last year which is something I've seen in the last couple of years, players making it off of a bad year when they were snubbed for a good year the season before. Plus gotta get over the rep of the likes of Henderson who are having underwhelming seasons but most fans will still think are the elite in the conference. He is really starting to get some dap from the national media though.
