Just remember this, Steve McNair, Derrick Mason, and Samari Rolle played against the Colts two times a year for a few years..They have experience and they know how to play against them and I know that we have the major main game changing factor,Ray Ray!!!

I'm worried, but I always worry before a game.

From what I've heard from the team though, they seem to have the right focus and no-nonsense attitude. I'm liking it.

I would worry if the team was playing the Reisterstown Mustangs.

Scenario i'm worried about are stupid mistakes that put us in a big hole down , say 14-0

anything else i think we can rebound against

The Colts are a team in major decline. Soft, and useless defense outside of the dome.

I'm not worried - I am looking for a blow-out win.

If we limit our turnovers and penalties, we're in like Flynn...

The 12th Man will be the a HUGE factor as well. This had better be the LOUDEST home game EVER in the history of our proud franchise!:179421:

Other than that, we will win this game.

The Indy Colts are not a bad team. There are certainly things to worry about. Short to intermediate passes as Payton threw against KC have hurt us in the past (see Cincy). And while their defense seems to be weak, it played really well against Cincy and KC. J.O. does not seem to be completely healthy and these toe problems can take up to two months to heal. He still is not practicing??? Adam Terry better be ready for D.F.

On the other hand, I do not think they are as physical as we are and if we can get up early, then I think we can "out-physical" them. Hopefully we come out slinging the ball and stretch out their defense. I think it is in this scenario that we can then take advantage of their "sometime" and "occasional" weak run defense. K.C. came out running and never spread out the defense and thus never got rolling. Still one has be concerned about their defense which did not give up a first down until late 3rd Qtr.

Rave on!

If you are not worried, you are either dumb or blind...How in the world is this even a question? You can talk all you want about McNair and the rest of the ex-titans knowing the Colts, big deal...Who covers R. Wayne? If we think Rolle is going to stay with him, this is going to be a long, long game...Not to mention, our D is based around getting to the QB, and the Colts, do not, and will not, let that happen so easily....I think we lose this game and Im not even sure if it is going to be close....2 of our 3 loses came aginst pass friendly teams, admittedly we did beat Cinnci as well....We havent faced an offense like this all season...when we beat SD, Marty Ball was in full effect.....If you are not worried, why are we, of the 4 teams hosting this week, the LEAST favored, by a mere 4 points....time to worry people.

Being favored or not favored has nothing to do with the game itself. I'm not going to worry about only being favored by 4 points. That's for the betting people to worry about.

The only things I'm truly worried about are, the Colts jumping out to an early lead and deflating the crowd. We need to set the tone early. Force them into a quick 3 and out. If we get the ball first, consume the clock on a long slow paced drive. The other is the matchup of Samari Rolle on Reggie Wayne. Hopefully Rolle can keep Wayne from getting behind him on the deep pass.

With the way this team has been playing, I honestly don't think any team can beat us. The defense is letting loose and finding ways to attack the QB from every angle. With the exception of Samari Rolle getting beat deep, our secondary has played extremely well the past few weeks of the regular season. I look for the defensive line to force some bad throws by Manning resulting in turnovers.

J.O. does not seem to be completely healthy and these toe problems can take up to two months to heal. He still is not practicing???

Last I heard was that J.O. didn't practice with the team Saturday, but did take part in conditioning drills with the team. I fully expect him to be close, or 100% by Saturday. This bye week was huge for us. Had we played last week, I don't think Ogden would have been able to go.

At this point of the season you should be concerned about every game. If you lose you go home. However I feel the Ravens will control this game.

Wuss? Or just honest? Sports become less entertaining when viewed through delusional eyes...

We will see come Saturday, but, you and I both know the COLTS are the worst match-up for us among all (NFC included) active playoff teams right now...If you are not worried about this match-up, why was there so much enthusiasm over the Bengals not making it in? Because we all know pass-first teams are the only ones that can beat us...An interesting game to reference is the Saints game...Brees went for 383 yards and had 2 WRs with well over 100 yards.

In my opinion, all you really need to do is look at the Indy-KC game. KC could not have stunk it up any more than they did. NO first downs in the entire first half. A game plan and a head coach that are for shit. And yet...they were still in the game until later in the game. Amazing.

By contrast, when the Ravens get +2 in turnovers, we are 41-0. If we had gotten those 3 ints the way KC did -- it would have been lights out. Period.

Manning and the Colts are over rated, folks. Especially in the post season. That doesn't mean that they can be overlooked; it just means that the Ravens are better. Period.

And not to look past Indy, but the team that scares me the most is New England. They've won 3 Super Bowls this decade; they have arguably THE most competent coach currently coaching; they have the #2 D; and they have a QB who has WON 3 super bowls. The Colts, on the other hand, have Manning -- who is the choke artist king of the post season.

Relax. We're going to shut down Addai and Rhodes. Maybe Rolle will get beat one or twice -- I don't expect to shut out Indy -- but if we hold them to 14 or 17 points, we will win this game. It might be closer than people who are predicting a blowout, or we MIGHT blow them out. But I do NOT expect Indy to beat us -- under any circumstances -- they're just not that good this year.

Have some faith in BB & Rex & McNair and Ray & Co. We're in this for the long haul this year, NOT the "one and done" route.

GO RAVENS!!! (41-0 when +2 in turnovers)

to a point, I agree with JBecks. When the Ravens lost this year, it was by the pass, and I don't think anyone passes better. But I really think the ome field and extra week etc will make the difference. and don't forget, the Ravens can throw the ball too. As I recall in the last loss to Indy, the D held them to about 20 pts but the O did squat. Ogden is near 100% (he is practicing) and DFeeney shouldn't be the factor he was last time.
I think the Ravens will win by 10+.

overheard in Pittsburgh; "Who is Demetrius Williams, and how did he get in our end zone?"

Our D got 2 turn-overs against Denver this year and lost? +2 must mean 3 or more...I would not count on Manning coughing the ball up 6 times in back to back weeks.

+2 means we get two more turnovers than we give up.

ie. we recover 2 fumbles; the opponent does not get a turnover = +2
We pick pf 2 passes and recover 2 fumbles; the opponent picks of 2 passes = +2

on the otehr hand

if we pick of one and recover one fumble, but give up 2 picks and cough up a fumble = -1

One big difference between the Colts and the Bengals is the Bengals have 3 legitimate deep threats; the Colts only have two. So yes, Rolle matched up against Wayne is a concern, but he'll have safety help. Our other safety and LBs can cover the TE.

It's playoffs - anything can happen - but there's a reason we're favored. We're at home, coming off a bye, and we're the better team. Our defense is flat-out amazing and should keep even Peyton in check. Yeah, there might be a few big plays, but they're going to be hard for Peyton to get. How many downfield passes did Peyton attempt vs. KC's DBs - very few. And ours are a bit more of a threat than KC's. The Colts are coming off 4 road losses where they averaged 18 points. That's it. To put that in perspective, we've given up an average of 8.5 points per game the last 4 home games. On our side of the ball, we'll have much more success moving the ball than KC did because we're far more balanced, will have a far better game plan, will make Indy pay if they stack the box, and we're at home. Being rested and just bigger and more physical than this team, we'll hit harder than the Colts will on both sides of the ball.

That's why I'm cautiously optimistic. Only "cautiously" because "any given Sunday." (or Saturday, in this case)

How can anyone not be worried at all about the Colts? They started what, 12-0? Their QB manages a game better than any in football, and their defense, specifically against the run, shut down the Chiefs last weekend (despite the Chiefs being not that good, they were able to run the ball all year). Our defense is definitely bend-not-break, and the Colts have the ability to throw the deep ball and "break" us in past matchups. Thats what scares me, and it scares me alot. Also, our defense relies so much on the pass rush, that when it's shut down our defense has a terrible time stopping the opposing offense.

I would call this a toss up- I think it can easily go either way. However my pick is the Ravens. We are playing together so well, and the Colts have lost their last 4 on the road. We need to stop their run game (shouldn't be a problem), minimize Peyton's presence with pressure, and run a balanced offense- a steady diet of Jamal and short to medium passes, plus Steve McNair making a few big plays with his legs and deeper passes.

I'm with you sports steve....this is going to be a great game to watch. Seriously bummed out that I don't have the money to come home to Baltimore and see the game (...grad school...:embarassed: )

FYI, I'm in Illinois...it's hilarious hearing all these people disrespecting our defense, offense, everything over the year....now suddenly their QB is Kyle Boller II and their big DTs that did all the work so Urlacher can be overrated are hurt or in trouble with the law and their D is exposed. Happy times. :rolling:

n interesting game to reference is the Saints game...Brees went for 383 yards and had 2 WRs with well over 100 yards.

Thats funny. I thought we won that game?

Most of those yards were in garbage time against a Ravens prevent defense. I would hardly reference that game.

I would personally reference the Panthers game where Steve Smith burnt us. The reason this happened was because of the miscommunication between Rolle and Reed. They seemed to have gotten it together as of late. Even in the Cincy game we held the Bengals to 13 points in there house. There only touch down was the result of a trick play. If our Offense showed up that game we would be 14-2.

Give it a rest. I hear this every single game

"there is no way we can beat the Steelers a second game. They are looking for revenge"
"The Saint cant be beat at home"
"The Chiefs haven't lost a december home game in 10 years"

Now its "The Ravens do not match up well with the Colts"

I would take the #1 defense against the #3 offense any day of the week. I know its cliche but defense win championships and our boys are ready kick some ass

The dyanmic duo of JP Losman and Lee Evans burned Rolle again and again...and one for a 50+ TD, due to what??? A miscommunication between Rolle and Reed...I am not sure why it is so difficult for people to admit how close this game is going to be.

A miscommunication between Rolle and Reed...

It happened once in that game. I doubt a big play happens because of a miscommunication more than once per game, at least based on what we've seen from the secondary in recent weeks. Peyton and Harrison/Wayne could burn us more than once, but they can't base their game plan on throwing downfield on most downs. Not with our pass rush. They can't win on the downfield game alone.

Zero teams have run on us and we have 3 loses so obviously even when we made teams one dimensional, we have still managed to lose games, 2 of 3 against pass first teams....I mean think about this- people are saying, yeah, the Colts will be one dimensional, but that one dimension is what we are not good at defending...It is like saying, you know what- lets shut down every other Chicago Bull, except Jordan, we should be fine......
