It won't work, they might get a short break but 5 seconds? Nope.

That's a twist: home team disadvantage due to continuous noise?

Rex also said if we forgot it would be ok too.

Mista T I've heard Ray quoted a few times saying he prefers to play on the road. He says they communicate better that way.

Of course the way the defense plays at home suggests they don't mind crowd noise *that* much. :)

This is news to me. People are conditioned to start yelling as soon as the opponent approches the line. Billick's request may reach a couple thousand, but you can't just do a 180 on the fans like that. Sorry guys, it's going to be loud all the time.

Sorry, I leave all rational thought at the tailgate lot. Remembering what time to cheer is definitely not an option. :)

I understand the point behind this, but I sure don't see it happening. I trust they realize it's not going to happen too.

You couldn't tell Rex wasn't serious? Check out Tony's Blog on the home page. That's why he said if we forgot, it was ok.

I agree. It is not going to happen. We are going to making so much noise as soon as the Colts reach the huddle or the line if they go no huddle. If they attempt to go no huddle, which they will do, we will be even louder.

No one is worried, it was a joke. Ryan isn't worried

While I do respect Ryan's rationale for making this request, I also don't see it working out. The fans will be rabid on Saturday. They be the loudest they have ever been, and I don't believe that their enthusiasm should be tempered. Besides, a lot of people are going to forget.

Bart Scott said it was be best for fans to be quiet up until 15 seconds left on the play clock. That would be nice if it was that easy but for real, as soon as the National Anthem is over, M&T is going to explode...there will be no moderating of the energy...it is going to be insane especially if the Ravens get out ahead early.

Just look for the signal from Ray Ray and everything will be okay...

I think the whole remark should be forgotten. Why give the Colts 5 seconds to set up? I say forget it, the noise needs to be full blast while the Colt offense is on the field.

It would be impossible to orchestrate that anyway.

Head Coach Brian Billick said just the other day to start with 15 to 10 seconds left on the play clock.

This crowd is going to be so fired up I wonder if it will ever be quiet

I have heard the criticism that our fans don't know when to be quiet and when to be loud. Fans are yelling while our offense is on the field, and while our team is huddled. We have got to be more disciplined than to just yell for the entire game.

We should allow for our defense to get their calls in, and after that become very loud.

What Rex is asking isn't unreasonable.

I heard some air horns that were smuggled in for the last game. Any good ideas for noise makers?

Bez - my brother and I have bird calls. They work pretty well. And don't forget the old standby -- yell and bang on the seat in front of you.

However, actually expecting folks to follow those instructions, it just ain't gonna happen.
The emotions are just waaaay too charged up for people to have the kind of restraint Ryan & Billick have requested.

if the fans can't even shut the hell up when the Ravens are on offense than this certainly will not work.

Ugh! It is so annoying when you see people just sitting there with the hands folded when the Ravens are on defense. Then they get annoyed when the entire section is standing except for them then they grudging stand up, but still don't make any sort of noise. Finally, the offense takes over. Then they stand up and start yelling and shouting! :grbac:

Come on people.....Don't you get it??:229031_confused2: Ray Lewis makes calls to his defensemen, he audibles just like a QB so they can adjust to what Peyton is doing! It's not that HARD!!! :insane: It's a FEAKIN' PLAYOFF GAME, and this may be a stretch but, do your substantial drinking after the WIN!!! PLEASE!!!!!!;)
