Well, it was a good run. McNair failed in the clinch , and there were a series of "oopsies" by both the D' and the O'.

Ed Reed just couldn't do it all by himself.

McNair is worthless.

our D should be proud of itself...holding manning to no TDs is something

our offense better sleep in the gutter tonight. absolutely stupid!

4 turnovers by McNair in the same game. Isn't that a season worst performance?

edit: oops, forgot the one by Heap, so 3 by McNair.

It felt like it was not mean't to be the way things were turning out.

Funny how 19 seconds were left on the clock. And the radio commentators mentioned Johnny U.Pity we couldn't put a smile on his face.

Great run Ravens.Lets see what we can come up with next season.

Here's to ya.

McNair had 3, Heap had one.

Until the day I die, I will say if we get a TD instead of an int at the 1 we win the game running away.

if we didn't have mcnair we would have never made the playoffs in the first place.

The way McNair and this offense as a whole played today we didn't deserve to be in the playoffs.

I'm not a professional but I thought the offensive game plan could have been better. I was looking for some play action after a few of Jamal's nice gains thinking the Colt D was on its heels. Hopefully next season there will be less talking and more preparation.

As dissapointed as I am in the loss, Tony Dungy and his staff deserve credit for a solid game plan.

IF ONLY...the Heap fumble didn't happen; we might have had a drive going.
...we'd converted some of those 3rd downs (instead of all those 4 yard passes on 3rd and 7)
...no pic on the 1 on the pass to Heap
...Vinatieri doesn't go 5/5.
...one of those dropped pics gets caught / run back

props to the Colts. I can't decide whether to root against them from spite, or for them, so at least we can say the champs eliminated us.
our Offense was awful.
difference between this team and the 2000? we didn't have Shannon Sharp to make a big play for us (Denver & Oakland games), or a turnover/kicking team td (Tenn, SB).
(I SURE don't want the Patriots to win another one.)
will the Ravens progress next year, or will McNair be too old/battered? will KBoll take over? some other QB? who will run the O? does this represent a serious Offensive problem, or just one bad game?

I'm numb more than pissed off, just totally numb about this one.

Certain calls went against us I don't see any way people can argue that, Reed's lateral, the 'holding' call on Ogden, the 'offside' on 3rd and 7 when Diem jumped way too late and should have been called for a false start etc. But I just don't think we'd have taken advantage of it today, McNair was just very poor. I don't want to pile on him because he made some great drives this year and really helped this team, but he was extremely poor today and I felt some guys on O had some much better games around him.

Just incredibly, incredibly numb about this game.

yeah, sorry ravens fans but that was an obvious, obvious hold. i cant see the arguement.

He didn't grab him, Freeney spun and got too close into Ogden's body, it was an open hand in the middle of the chest, not a hold.

i'd have to see the replay to be sure. at first glance i thought it was obvious though.

When the announcers suggest it may have been a bad call, you know it was a bad call. I don't think they do that lightly.

Still, we shouldn't lose because of a couple of bad calls. The Indy defense was much stiffer then I expected.

I'm reluctant to blame the coaches, I think we just had execution problems on offense.

I don't think he was 'holding' Feeney, I think while blocking him, he grabbed another Indy player coming by.

You might want want to take some verbiage de-sensitization pills, Katie. This is a a fans' 'lockeroom' so to speak. The folks get salty.

If that strikes you as a bad idea, well then, fuck it.

The thing is it's not just a game, we all invest so much financially and emotionaly into our respective team.

We all live vicariously thorugh our team and when they loose, we all feel it. So no it's not just a game and this is our Message Board where we come to vent and recover.

So I'm with Art in this one, if you didn't like it, to fucking bad

Peyton looks like Johnny U? I never noticed Johnny whining with the refs everytime there was a call that might not go his teams way.

See 2005, 2004.

Was McNair the only reason we made the playoffs? Hell no.

Was McNair a reason why we finished 13-3, with a 1st round bye? He played a big part in it.

This year, with Boller as our QB, I can still seeing our team in the playoffs, but not 13-3, and not as good of a team.

Don't think this is a shot at Boller, because it isn't, so put the pitchfork down.

McNair sucked yesterday, plain and simple, but don't disregard what he did for the team, and what he did to help us get to 13-3 in the first place.

Do you believe that if Boller is the starter, that Billick would make a completely different gameplan, and our offense would be that different?

If so, what makes you think that? I just want to see what other people think our season would be like, say if Boller was the starter.

Boller came in and played well against the Panthers but I can't say we would be 13-3 with him at QB. He just doesn't have any poise in the pocket. McNair would complete the pass with a defender in his face, whereas Boller would duck and take a sack or throw the INT.
