I would really be suprised. What a bummer. Steelers and then the Colts.

i think the last 2 years have officially been football hell, the steelers and now the dolts in the super bowl? is there anyway we can get peyton to solicit a hooker like eugene robinson did the last time the sb was in miami?

What a crock of shit!!

Roughing the QB??

Gimme a fucking break!!

You get the feeling that if a Patriot would have cut a fart within 5 yards of Manning they would have called it roughing the passer.

Lord I really REALLY hate getting into those "refs are crooked" arguments. But I gotta tell you I saw some SERIOUSLY questionable calls go the Colts way tonight. That roughing the passer shit was the icing on the cake for me.

The NFL wants Manning to get a ring. And I'm now starting to believe they'll do what they have to in 2 weeks to get him one. :alien:

I guess we can also look forward to hearing Jeremy Kahn on the Anita Marks show mouthing off... Does anyone else find it offensive that this schmuck grew up in Baltimore, is on a Baltimore local sports talk station and is a vocal fan of the freaking KOLTS????? 2 neutral zone infractions plays just like we saw last week called against the Patriots defense. No snap, OL lineman stands up and points at a defender, BANG yellow flag.

I've seen it called before, rarely, but favoring the same team 3 times in 2 weeks?

from the strange but true files: since i couldn't bear the sight of seeing jimmy irsay lifting a trophy i flipped channels and what was showing on amc? "the exorcist"! the pea soup vomit scene is a bit of fitting symbol of how i feel right now. the only thing that would have made things worse is if jimmy pulled out his guitar and a bottle of jack like the old days and started singing a song about how b-mo was a lousy town.

First the Steelers, now this.

Any early bet's on who win's the '07 season's Superbowl? I guess if we go for the Triple threat it would be either the Browns or Bengals.

I want to kill myself. Let's hope the Orioles do good this year becuause we need to just shut football down until August.

I really don't want to root for either of these 2 teams. I can't root for Rex Grossman because he's one gigantic PUSSY, and no one within the Baltimore surrounding areas can root for the Colts. I don't have anything against Manning and enjoy watching him play, but this really sucks cause they knocked us out of the playoffs in our own house. This SB is going to suck. I guess I'll root for the Bears. We're all fucked anyway.

Anybody else get the feeling Jim Nantz wants to sleep with Peyton Manning?

Yes. He was almost jizzing himself as he said 'to all those Peyton naysayers - you were wrong!'.

I switched it off and didn't watch the fucking presentation. I doubt I will watch the Super Bowl and I certainly won't be watching fucking ESPN the next two weeks. These may be the worst consecutive football seasons in history.

Watching Indy fans praying, I was thinking 'your team was traded to the guy downstairs over 20 years ago, so I hope you're praying to the right dude'. With any luck a meteorite will hit the team bus. I know that's a classless statement, but I honestly don't give a shit.

Good lord.

It's atrocious.

What was even worse was listening to him talk about the challenged TD that Gaffney caught.

Gaffney CLEARLY stayed in bounds the whole time until he jumped for the ball. They even showed his complete route and Nantz still said something to the effect of:

"Colts fans will always wonder if Gaffney's heel was on the line before he left his feet".

WTF is that?

Horrendous is what it is.

or any show except ESPN and NFLN.

I had no intrest in the Colts, either the true Colts from Baltimore or the piece of crap thiefs in Indy. That said, seeing the passion people on this forum have for the Baltimore Colts has made me hate the Indianapolis CornHolers almost as much as I hate our NFCN rivals.

Moral: Be careful what ya ask for. Kinda makes ya wonder how a 32nd ranked Defense can BEAT a 1st ranked Defense.

Probably due to the offenses they were facing, since those two units you named never "faced" each other.

Looking back at the Colt's game, I didn't see much of an indication of our defense getting beat.

crowdog89
01-21-2007, 11:21 PM

So when did the one-year-wonder fans come out of the woodwork?

You guys should be worried about why it will take another 15 years or more to win a Superbowl.

Let's recant:

1) Pittsburgh could only muster 8 wins
2) Pittsburgh got swepts by the Ravens
3) Pittsburgh got shut out by the Ravens
4) Rothlisberger was actually worse than Michael Vick, Mark Brunell, Jon Kitna, J.P. LOSMAN, David Carr, and backup QB Damon Huard in passing this year.

5) Oh yeah, and your team was so bad this year your head coach didn't even want to stay anymore. Congrats, you drove Bill Cowher out of Pittsburgh.

So here I am wondering how an 8 and 8 team has any room to talk about anything right now.

Defense wins championships!!! Da Bears led the NFL in turnovers, I think. We were second. Their defense is the highest rated left. They have a damn good special teams. And their running game isn't too shabby. All they need is the good qb to show up. That being said..... SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PLAY THE COLTS 1 UP? WHEN YOU TRY AND OUTSCORE THEM? DAMN IDIOTS! WHY DIDN'T HE FOLLOW OUR PLAYBOOK???

Our football season was over when the Ravens lost last week. The Patriots defense was worn out after the second quarter. At least the Ravens NEVER gave up a touchdown to Manning. It's a shame our offense was so flat, because yesterday's game would have been here.

I hate to say it, but the Colts have everything going their way. I do think in some small way, the NFL influences who they want to win. Sometimes, it works and other times, it doesn't. The NFL doesn't like Baltimore and never wanted us to have a team. By the Colts winning yesterday and probably again in 2 weeks, the NFL has gotten their revenge against Baltimore and they couldn't be happier.

For me, I am rooting for the Bears, but I honestly think it is going to be a romp. The Colts will run against the Bears, wear out the defense, and then pass like hell. Look for a score like 45-10. I may not even watch because I don't want to see Jimmy Irsay start mouthing off like "Oh, I wish my Daddy could be here. He's looking down from Heaven (more like Hell) and smiling."

The only good from all of this is Tony Dungy. I think he is a very nice man and he deserves to win after all these years. I just wish he could have been a coach for a different team.
