:ref: Whoa.. wait.. Kyle didn't fall over his shoes? :187734:
LOL No tripping from Kye, he looked pretty good. It was the Bungles after all.
Vick looks odder.

Those same pesky bungles were beating up Brady last week.
Boller looks good. I hope the guy is the next Rich Gannon.

The use of the word "odder."

Wonder why Kyle went with #12 as his number...thought he was a "7" kind of guy. No one else on that team has 7...maybe he just wanted a completely new start?

I have kinda predicted that Boller will have a good year if he gets a chance to start and the O line is decent. As I've said (probably ad nauseum) I really believe that he has super slow and long learning curve. Part of his problem has been his uh jitteriness, hyper personality, whatever you wanna call it. I think he's finally learning to relax and play without thinking about it too much.
Not trying to sound like a smart guy because it's only the preseason but I'll be interested in how he does. If he flops I'll fess up as being wrong.
Go Kyle.

I embarrassed myself by defending Kyle and saying that he was poised for breakout for years. My wife had a crush on him since his draft day. Now, after a year living the Flacco life and seeing both of Kyle's preseason games, we both agree that he is terrible at the game of football (by NFL standards; he IS better than me though). Nice guy though.

If I were him I'd want to hit the unholy reset button too.
Good luck Kyle... unless somehow your performance may have adverse affects on the Ravens. :jester:

Both? Sounds like you didn't watch the game yesterday then. 14/20 96 yards and a TD doesn't sound terrible.

Apropos to nothing, Preston has decided to have another dig at Kyle today in The Sun:
http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/blog/2009/08/prestons_take_on_suggs_rolle_boller_and_more.html
My man Kyle Boller had a very good performance with the St. Louis Rams the other night. More important than his statistics was the fact that he didn't trip over his own feet, the line of scrimmage and didn't have a guard trample over his feet. When informed of this, one top Ravens official said, "Damn, I don't believe you. I'm going to go check out the tape."
I'm sure many will get irritated by this. Actually, I think Preston does this BECAUSE it pisses people off so much. I find it pretty amusing.

I find it petty and entirely unnecessary. No reason at all to make this comment except that he thinks it funny to make fun of someone else. Unprofessional in my opinion.

You're exactly right. But who are we talking about here.
He's just another of those type of journalists that chooses to write with some viewpoints that are aiming to get people upset. He enjoys hate mail, it means people are reading.
The shame of it is, he can actually do a good job when he wants to. But picking on Billick on Boller long after their gone seems pointless. But if it gets a rise out of people he doesn't care. It keeps him in a job.

If you want to get technical the Vic one is odder - he is wearing 7, an odd number, Kyle on the other hand is wearing 12
There I figured it out! Do I get a prize or at least a cookie!?

The 70% completion is good, but 96yds in 20 attempts is 4.8yds/att. That is UNBELIEVABLY HORRENDOUS. All of his passes were little dump offs. And all of this harsh stuff is coming from someone who hopes he succeeds.

Favre in a Vikes uni is the weirdest looking thing so far this preseason...

Again, you didn't watch the game. I did. There were also swing passes and field position in play. You know they did run the ball too.
The guy led the team down and scored. And somehow that was still horrendous.
Amazing, especially since the guy isn't even here anymore.

not sure why anyone in Baltimore would want to rip Kyle Boller at this point. The guy was nothing but the consumate professional in Baltimore under some really harsh conditions.

Have you seen the Rams receivers? They make us look like world beaters. I have watched Boller in all 3 Rams games & he looks good & relaxed. Good for him & best wishes.

FWIW, I don't think he's that good a QB. He's got the tools, but his decision-making is still pretty bad and accuracy pretty questionable. I hope he makes it, I really do. The guy got treated like shit here and all he did in "retaliation" was play his heart out and leave his guts on the field. He's really a terrific guy to root for. I just don't think he's gonna make it as anything more than a journeyman backup.
Which, frankly, is more than 99.999% of us can say, and that's still pretty decent. I wish I could say I'm not jealous, but I'd give my left nut to have a career as a backup QB in the NFL...

Some of the dump off passes and what not were his biggest weak spots here. He could throw teh 20 yard skinny post and deep outs but would never seem to hit the short throws in the hands to guys in stride. If he can do that, continue playing with poise, and an OC will use his mobility a little, he could actually be pretty good. He does have the body of good QB and a very strong arm and a lot of experience.

Numerous Sun sportswriters have moved on to better papers, or a national broadcast job.
Mikey is still here because no-one has offered him better job. Hell Aaron of the hick town news had picked up national work. Not Mikey.
Boller may have trouble with Pace as his LT. He will surely have trouble if Pace gets injured. That may be more like how much he is injured He's beat up.
