I noticed we wore the white jerseys with white pants for all 4 preseason games. I hope they go with the white jersey/black pants combo for the regular season. I liked that look last year, and just think the white/white looks weak.

Lighter clothing keeps you cooler, so on hot summer days it makes sense to wear the white jerseys. You should also expect us to wear white for the first 4 games, at least. Darker colors absorb more heat, so expect to see them more in the second half of the season.

I'm sure we'll see more white on black though.

The Ravens almost always wear white for home games in September due to the Sun still being high in the sky.

Speakign of Unis...My favorite thing this preseason was the Raiders wearing their Black Uniforms for a Saturday DAY game when it was in the upper 90s. They lost 45-7. What a dumb, dumb decision. Although the upper 90s was uncharacteristically hot, I still don't understand why they would wear black for a day game in August.

Reminds me too much of those silly looking uniforms from 1996. I prefer the all whites. If there's a need to vary the away uniforms, I would rather see pants using the primary color: purple (really its bluish purple).

I also hope that the all-blacks are either dead & buried, or modified with striping to get away from the look of skin-tight exercise leotards.


Now if they would only get rid of that stupid logo on the helmets.

I'd really like to see a classic look of maybe just the "B" or an "R" on the side of the helmets.

Teams like the Colts, Cowboys, (dare I say it) Steelers, have stayed with a classic, simple logo and stands the test of time.

As much as I love the Ravens, our bird logo is a bit cartoonish.

I've got 'that bird' on too many places on my cars, in the house, t-shirts and stuff for it to go away.
So just for my own personal goals we gotta keep the bird (getting that decal odd the back window would be a huge pain in the arse).

The all Black always kinda looked like pajamas to me. Black on white is fine, purple on either (better white) is good, all white is understandable in the heat... but keep the bird. It is one of the first symbols my baby knew what it meant and gets excited seeing! :jester:

I guess maybe Harbaugh just likes the all whites in preseason, but it seems like he just doesn't like monochrome unis otherwise... under Harbs we've never worn white on white or black on black in the regular season.

There is no uniform combo that I hate more than the black leotards with white jerseys. They look like something you see sissy-pants wearing on points at the ballet. Not that there is anything wrong with sissy-pants. Just sayin.

"If" it is really necessary to wear black pants, they need to have some thick white or purple piping.

I like the all whites. I LOVE black jerseys with white pants. Purple jerseys with white pants looks okay too.

I've never given too much thought to the helmet logo. It sure beats the heck out that Season 1 shield monstrosity. Perhaps, for an alternate helmet, they could use the BR Calvert shield... with no shield on the jerseys. Not that it matters much. My favorite helmets have always been the Browns, Packers, Bears, even... *gulp* the Steelers. Simplicity is best. Cincinnati is the worst, followed closely by San Diego.

The only thing I've always genuinely hated about the Ravens uniforms is the horrible font for their numbers. What is it, Comic Sans?! Wretched. Box letters are better.

We will never see black on black under Harbaugh's tenure. He hates that combo more than any of us do. Thank God. I think that was his first executive decision as coach.

All uniform changes must be approved by the league office. Just like when the O's put "Baltimore" on their road jeresys. This is the current uniform selection for the Ravens, sans preseason.

If they are making any changes it is under lock and key. It was a surprise to virtually everyone last year when they came out in week 1 with the black pants. I see no reason that they would keep changing things around every year.

I loved the Black pant and white top look from last year. And we had pretty good results. :)

I think that look had an "oldschool" type of feel to it.


I have always kind of liked our bird logo. Much more then the front profile from the 90's.

But I do like the idea of just the "B" on the side. That could be interesting and I have always liked that B font.

Always thought the B logo belonged on the helmet with the Bird head moving to the pants. Letter logos are definitely old school and look great on the helmet.

I think either the current "B" the Ravens use would look good, or the old "B" back in the late 90s- the "B" with what looked like feathers or wings coming off of it. I'm curious as to what that would look like. But I think our helmet logo is great as it is.
