Yea, I know this is probably a bit off-topic. But if I were SB, which obviously I am not, I would do everything within my power to ensure that HC Harbs, O-line coach Matsko, and O-coordinator Cameron , along with the other coaches, remain Raven's coaches for the duration! The coaching philosophy, creativity, attention to detail, and focus on xs and os is superb and second to none, and a major reason the Ravens have enjoyed the success they have since these coaches arrived in Bmore. Naturally, the team requires talent, and that responsibility has always been Ozzies. We as Ravens fans are very fortunate to have such a gifted and principaled organization in place!

well with Harbaugh, if he gets us a SB, you can bet SB is going to open up the checkbook.

As for the others, there's only so much you can do before they'll want a promotion. I'm sure Cam wants another crack at being HC. Matsko could be a nice OC, but he's mainly a career OL coach.

Well, I'm not absolutely certain that's what Cam wants. He seems to be happy right now, but we'll see. The O-line coach could be named ass't HC, or something like that to keep him in the fold. Make him one of the highest paid asst's in the league - he deserves it!

JimZip will tell you - and I fully agree with him - that Hue Jackson is more important than all but Cameron and by far the one we're most likely to lose...

We almost lost Hue Jackson last year. I believe it was the Tampa Bay OC job, but I can't remember.

Cam may well be one of those guys who is better cut out for a coordinator job. Much like dick lebeau (but better).
I, as well am hoping we keep a majority of our coaching staff. They sure seem to have a strong, team focused message. And we are seeing the results on the field.

Cam ... Much like dick lebeau (but better).

LOL

Take off the purple shades. Cam is awesome. He might some day be as good as Lebeau.

Better? Um, no.

I'm a huge Coach Matsko fan. This guy has literally turned the O-line around overnight, and, along with Cam, has turned the Offense into an NFL juggernaut. These coaches are as important to retain as Harbs, and Harbs should be given mega Kudos for attracting these guys to Bmore.

Actually I've always been a Cam fan, My brother is a huge Chargers guy - and I am in chargers territory so I saw what he did in SD, and what he is starting to do in Baltimore.

My opinion, yes. Were I to have a choice between taking one of the other, I'd take Cam. Nothing against Lebau, he is damn good but Cam is the shizzle.

LeBeau is the best defensive coordinator in the history of the NFL and it's not close. He absolutely revolutionized the way teams play defense, and has done more to completely morph the landscape of the way football is played than any single coach other than maybe Bill Walsh with the West Coast Offense.

Cam is an incredible offensive coordinator. One of the best of all time. But put up against LeBeau? No. He's not there yet.

I want to know what Matsko did with Chris Chester, because I want the secret.

So... he has more upside :jester: perhaps a higher ceiling yet to be achieved.

I'll never take anything away from Lebau (except for perhaps the colors he wears), I also use him as the model coach that is excellent as a coordinator but not cut out for HC jobs.

At least in my .04

No argument with either of those. Cam might some day be better than LeBeau. Both I agree are not cut out for HC jobs.
