So apparently Jamal was inured all of last year with bone spurs(http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/bal-sp.lewis31jan31,0,7039906.story?coll=bal-sports-headlines) and the team knew about it. So the staff felt that an injured Jamal put them in a better position to win than a healthy Mike Anderson. Interesting...

If they did. . . They were right. :)

In some ways I'd like to see them bring Jamal back at the "right price" of course. I think if the Ravens still draft a RB and partner with Lewis it would form a productive backfield. I still appreciate his tough running and interested to see how he comes back next year. If not here then elsewhere following his surgery.

Mike Anderson must have really been in Billick's doghouse the whole year. Why else would you choose an injured, worn down, beat up running back to continue to play over him? Wow

I just hope Jamal get the hell outta here. I've had enough of him >/

"People kept saying that I had lost some steps. They talked like I was 33 instead of 27. I noticed that I didn't look like my old self in the first part of the season. You notice that I started playing better against New Orleans. That was the first time I numbed it up, and there was no pain when I cut or accelerated. That was also Brian Billick's first game as the offensive coordinator, and that's when they started giving me the ball more. I still gained over eleven-hundred yards for the season, and they didn't run me until after the sixth game."
He thinks he played fine, after the 6th game?
From the NO game, to the end of the season, he averaged 75.7 yds game & 3.62 Yds/Carry. :eyes:
I'm sorry, but we've gotta get rid of him, & upgrade at that position. Regardless of what he's saying, he's not close to the same runner that he used to be. And it's to the point, where he's a liability in our backfield.
If we're wrong, then we're wrong. But I really think it's time we part ways with him.

I would welcome Jamal back into a Jerome Bettis 2005 role where he come in in the 4th quarter to wear down the opposing D.
I would also use himas a GL back, but then again he isnt the best inside the 10.
I dont know if I buy the whole "I need 30 carries to get going" bit. I know Jamal had some 5-10 yard runs on his first few carries this year. Hell in the TB opener he had a rushing TD ont he first drive!
