Josh Cribbs, last play of game

There's a lot of controversy about the last play of the Ravens Browns game. Today Cribbs agent came out and said...

"I can't even put into words how upset I am at them for leaving him in like that,'' said agent J.R. Rickert in a text. "Fortunately, he's doing well.''

I read this story on the Plain Dealer website. Below the story they have an area where fans can post comments. (http://www.cleveland.com/ohio-sports-blog/index.ssf/2009/11/baltimore_bloggers_bash_clevel/5474/comments.html) Almost all the comments are about the Dwan Edwards hit - saying it was cheap and late. Browns fans are complete idiots, some of them on there still think Quinn will be a good QB. And my personal favorite they were calling Flacco "ugly."

Trevor Pryce even chimed in about how dumb that play was.

It wasn't a one score game.

Notice his agent didn't mention anything about it being a cheap hit and directed his anger at Mangini?

Meanwhile, Suggs is layed up with a bum knee because Quinn actually did take a cheap shot which was flagged when it happened.

I'm listening to the Monty Show and he's saying Ray Lewis made the hit. I called twice to tell him it was Edwards and they told me they would pass it on to him, but he's still blaming Ray for the hit.

The Suggs hit was obviously cheap, Quinn was pissed about the INT. The Edwards play was legit, Cribbs actually had the ball for a second.

Oh I forgot to add another Browns fan commented on the Ray Lewis murder charge. Big surprise, it's the highlight of their pathetic, miserable lives.

I think any non-Brown fan watching the game could see that Edwards was making a clean, legal hit.

But I just can't get any satisfaction out of needling Browns fans.

They've been through a lot. Let them shuffle through the world wide web, dragging their feet and begging for sympathy like orphans on a street corner. Their owner is awful, their awful GM has been let go, their coach is pathetic, their team is pathetic and their quarterback put on the absolute worst display of quarterbacking I have *ever* seen in the NFL last night. And being a Ravens fan, I've seen some bad quarterbacks under center.

So. Let 'em grumble, is my 2 cents.

Who cares what Browns fans say? "Ratbirds, murder, stole our team, blah blah." By the same token, who cares what Ravens fans say back to them? "your city sucks, you're losers, blah blah." A word processing program should be able to generate that flamewar relatively easily. Why bother wasting time and brain power on it?
