Complete to Wayne, splits multiple tacklers, gets inside the 10. Unbelievable.

After a HUGE loss, Ngata does something stupid, and now they're looking to score again.

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:32 PM
See, what'd I tell you...Colts will score here and be up TWO FGs...So we NEED that score now. No more FGs, TDs!

OriAl
11-22-2009, 02:32 PM
Three sneaks were better than what we did. Why hand off the ball behind the line with a 6'6" QB?

And we still don't defend the middle, or throw to the middle.

Ravens are best in NFL at giving away games they should win. Like the Orioles.

Now a late hit by Ngata. Gutless losers. And our defense always quits after penalties.

I'm glad Harbaugh was going to focus on offense this week in practice.

OriAl
11-22-2009, 02:34 PM
Cameron and the offense have quit in the red zone all game long.

Sephy
11-22-2009, 02:34 PM
1st and goal from the 9, quick pass to Wayne which gets 2-3.
2nd and goal from the 7, off the hands of Santi and almost another pick from Landry.
3rd and goal from the 7, INCOMPLETE FOR WAYNE!!

HUGE, HUGE STAND

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:35 PM
JEESH, We are getting SO DAMN lucky on D today...

3 and out...will they go for it, or take the FG.

Stover to kick, and it is....Good, of course.

Ok, so we need 2, but we need to PUT THIS GAME AWAY! Has a Raven ever done 6 FGs in one game?

TTRaven
11-22-2009, 02:35 PM
Great stop by the D after the stupid penalty by Ngata.

Sephy
11-22-2009, 02:35 PM
Stover is true as always - 17-15 Colts.

What we need here: a long, game ending drive in a FG or TD.

What we will get: ??

StingerNLG
11-22-2009, 02:35 PM
Nice defensive stop by the Ravens.

And here comes Stover.

Ok, this is what we needed. Avoid the TD.

Now we NEED to score a TD on this drive, PERIOD!! If we don't, we are going to lose this game.

OriAl
11-22-2009, 02:35 PM
Stover for the lead. And he doesn't miss a shorty like Cundiff did.

Remember when we used to block field goals occasionally?

Sephy
11-22-2009, 02:37 PM
Webb to the 32-33.

CRZA938
11-22-2009, 02:38 PM
I agree with Stinger. We need a td for a win. I think we have it in us...

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:39 PM
Here's the gamble...

you can try to run down the clock with a long drive, running McClain and McGahee to eventually get a FG. But you don't want to give Manning the chance to get them in FG range to win it.

But going for the TD, you may go 3 and out, punt and still give him chance to run out the clock.

I don't envy the coaches right here. Tough call how to coach this one to win it. We've been getting gifts on D, but Manning has 4th Quarter magic...

Sephy
11-22-2009, 02:40 PM
1st, backside screen to Rice who just fights hard and harder for 10. WOO!

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:40 PM
Ray Rice, being...well, Ray Rice!

Nice job kid!

Sephy
11-22-2009, 02:41 PM
1st, give to Rice for 1.
2nd and 9, dump to Rice who makes 2 GREAT MOVES and gets to the Colts 35! WOW! THIS KID IS SO GOOD!!

OriAl
11-22-2009, 02:41 PM
The Ravens have outplayed the Colts today, and the only reason this isn't a bigger lead is Cam, IMO.

Our offense is worse than the Cavanaugh days. We don't even try to be aggressive. We haven't used the slant or the middle against a weak secondary but Cam loves dumpoffs.

I'd rather lose 35-0 than keep giving away close games we should win.

StingerNLG
11-22-2009, 02:41 PM
Wow!!

Ray Rice is just a complete player. What a catch and run!!

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:41 PM
Ravens, you are showing we you can win this game...

PLEASE don't lose this one and crush me again, my heart can't take it!

11-22-2009, 02:42 PM
1st, Rice off tackle right for 2.
Injured Colt on the field.

StingerNLG
11-22-2009, 02:43 PM
Ok, so if we lose this game, we can hope the Chiefs hang with the Steelers too.

It's tied 24 all there.

Sephy
11-22-2009, 02:44 PM
2nd and 8, Flacco incomplete for Mason.
3rd and 8, WIDE OPEN Mason to the 17!!

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:44 PM
3rd and long...don't like this, getting a bad feeling...

MASON AGAIN! Thank you thank you THANK YOU

11-22-2009, 02:45 PM
Come on come on come on. We need a score. We need a touchdown!!

Sephy
11-22-2009, 02:46 PM
1st, slant to Mason for 6.
2nd and 4, Rice swallowed up for a loss. Almost everyone was in the backfield there.
3rd and 7, Flacco picked by Brackett looking for Rice. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:46 PM
DA,MN IT.

that's game

StingerNLG
11-22-2009, 02:46 PM

Sephy
11-22-2009, 02:47 PM
Now the Ravens D will have to stop Peyton.

1st, Addai out of bounds after 3. And Fabian is down and hurt. Bad.

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:48 PM
Fabian down...SCREAMING in pain.

StingerNLG
11-22-2009, 02:49 PM
Fabian's year is done. He can't even walk on it.

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:49 PM
Looks like he blew out his knee...guess Webb is starting now.

OriAl
11-22-2009, 02:50 PM
Flacco sucks these days. Throws into triple coverage - after Cam is too stupid to pass on second down.

Where was the no-huddle, Cam??

We can't even score TDs at home.

And the defense won't get the ball back.

Sephy
11-22-2009, 02:50 PM
Fabian's probably done for the year. As bad as he's played, we can't afford that..

2nd and 7, 2:35 left, caught by Garcon for 6 and CRUSHED by Ray. TO Ravens. Bad call - they only need 1 yard!

Sephy
11-22-2009, 02:51 PM
3rd and 1, caught by Wayne, likely a first down. Its right at the marker.

OriAl
11-22-2009, 02:52 PM
They roll out on third and one, unlike Cam the moron.

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:53 PM
Reviewing the spot, but I think he has the first.

we're down to one Timeout...if we can't make a stop or turnover, this game is over. And I think we used our challenge here, so we'd be NO timeouts.

Raveninwoodlawn
11-22-2009, 02:53 PM
Well, this is what happens when you don't score TD's.

It doesn't usually work against the shitty teams and it sure isn't going to work against the elite teams like the Colts.

StingerNLG
11-22-2009, 02:54 PM
This makes that goalline series look even worse.

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:55 PM
oh awesome...no timeouts, 1st down, GAME!

TTRaven
11-22-2009, 02:55 PM
This is clearly a first down. Stupid challenge IMO. Now we're left with no timeouts. Stupid move by Harbaugh.

What the ever loving fuck?

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:56 PM

i said it, I said it...that FG instead of going for it would be the loss for us.

Granted, offense almost had us in poisition to win, but those points would've been HUGE!

Sephy
11-22-2009, 02:56 PM
Harbaugh just lost us the game. Inexcusable. Wow, just wow.

The game is over, cause we have a HC who has no idea what the fuck is going on. And an offensive coordinator who can't call a game to save his life.

Un. Fucking. Believable.

CRZA938
11-22-2009, 02:57 PM

I agree. The TO is more important than hoping the refs blow the call and reverse the one on the field.

Lee Van Cleef
11-22-2009, 02:57 PM
Can't believe those bastards come in and sneak out with a game like this. It's killing me losing to those guys over and over.

Joe. What the hell was that? Throwing to a guy with three defenders around him? WTH?

Raveninwoodlawn
11-22-2009, 02:58 PM
This team needs to win their next 2 games to have a realistic shot at the playoffs here.

Not looking good at all.

TTRaven
11-22-2009, 02:58 PM
We're going to get the ball back unless Addai breaks off a huge run. Not sure how much time we'll have.

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 02:59 PM
Points to pin this game on:

#1 - The offensive playcalling...when your offense gets 5 FGs, no TDs...you can't expect to win but maybe 1 out of 20 times.

#2 - Coaching - We just wasted two timeouts on a pretty obvious 1st down play. save your timeouts and play better D

#3 - Mistakes - Joe took care of the ball all day, except one play and that one play killed us.

StingerNLG
11-22-2009, 02:59 PM
i said it, I said it...that FG instead of going for it would be the loss for us.

Almost. Almost doesn't count in the NFL though. We cannot find a way to beat the good teams.

And now we HAVE to beat GB on the road and sweep the Steelers.

Jacksonville went ahead, and Houston plays later today.

UKRavenGordon
11-22-2009, 02:59 PM
sick to my stomach.....

Sephy
11-22-2009, 02:59 PM
This loss is squarely on Cameron and Harbaugh. Flacco's interception looms huge, obviously, but had the gameplan been better for 95% of the game, it doesn't come down to that.

The defense can't get enough credit for what they did today being so outmatched.

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 03:00 PM
Assuming we make them punt here, we'll have maybe 30 seconds...

TIME TO HUNT!
11-22-2009, 03:00 PM
why do you give Mcgahee the ball after Ray Rice got you down there (That Goaline stand by the colts).......McGahee is awful

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 03:01 PM
oh man...if we get in FG range...

Think about THAT storyline...CUNDIFF kicks the game winner, not Stover.

Or Cundiff misses the game winner and we all pile on not re-signing Stover.

NC Raven
11-22-2009, 03:03 PM
and again, Ed Reed's IQ drops to zero the second he gets his hands on the ball. We had a better shot with Webb anyway - younger, faster. Reed's not taking a punt to the house. An INT maybe, but not a punt. Come on...

CoverD
11-22-2009, 03:04 PM
Reed, that's the worst possible decision you could've made. You should've taken the tackle and we could've went for 2-3 plays.

Lee Van Cleef
11-22-2009, 03:07 PM
Made mistakes at key moments. Missed FG, poor playcalling at the GL. Bad decision by Flacco.

I think that's who this team is this year, just not quite with it.

festivus
11-22-2009, 03:07 PM
Funny that we lose another game because of a missed kick.

Not that that was the only reason, or the main reason. But the missed kick matters *again*!!

NC Raven
11-22-2009, 03:07 PM
Just one stupid thing after another down the stretch.... bad play calls, stupid pass by Flacco, stupid challenge, stupid pitch.

And another missed FG.

The saving grace is we should do much better against an 8-8 schedule next year.

I agree. I am so suck and fucking tired of this shit.

We are not a playoff team. I don't want to hear shit about "well we only lost by 2 points" or "no problem, we'll just win against.........".

I cannot believe Reed gave the game away like that. I am absolutely in shock.

Not that our offense could do anything in the redzone anyway.

I am emotionally spent with this team. I'm very close to selling the rest of my tickets for this year. VERY close.

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 03:08 PM
I almost wish we had been blown out.

Losing close to good teams dowsn't make you a good team. It just makes you ALMOST lucky.

This is not our year. We need to focus on character and playcalling for next year at this point. Cut out the stupid defensive mindsets, where guys hit slightly dirty to give the appearance of being tough, guys try to lateral because we don't trust our offense to move the ball, and guys take stupid plays because they get heated.

And the playcalling...have some imagination.

Re-fin-dicilous.

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 03:11 PM
OPTIMISM:

KC and Steelers go to OT...Roth is OUT, Batch in. Maybe a lingering injury that keeps him out next week. I don't wish injuries, but we need Big Ben out to have a chance next week.

OriAl
11-22-2009, 03:12 PM
Bring back Billick.

Of course Stover wins the game.

Harbaugh and Cameron are gutless. They play for field goals. And our defense didn't hold a fourth quarter lead (early, but a fourth quarter lead), and had problems stopping third downs, allowing the two TDs.

First and goal from the one, no McGahee, no rollout.

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 03:16 PM
Ok, enough with the Stover to win the game crap.

Cundiff was our stover today...our ENTIRE offense. With a different kicker, Indy probably still wins that game. Yeah he missed one which was a bad snap, can't really blame him entirely for that.

Once again, kicker is just the easiest point to blame...Blame the offense playcalling, blame Ed Reed for his lateral crap, blame coaching...but Stover being on either side of the ball wouldn't have mattered today.

Sephy
11-22-2009, 03:16 PM
Yes, if KC wins and especially if Ben is out, that obviously helps a lot. Next week is a must win regardless.

Anyway, I think Miami and NYJ aren't really in the wildcard mix.

HOLY SHIT, Chiefs about to win!

RavenScallywag

Thank you!

Cundiff today kicked 5, count them FIVE field goals today. He had to kick them because our offense couldn't find the fucking endzone even being less than a yard away from it.

A YARD AWAY!!!!!

And while I realize the Steelers lost now, the Jaguars won. That puts both the Steelers and the Jags at 6-4. Not to mention if the Texans win today they will also be 6-4.

I believe we would need to run the table completely to get in, and that' sjust not going to happen.

RavenScallywag
11-22-2009, 03:24 PM
Our D wasn't bad, but we had some gifts on those turnovers. If it was Clark making that goalline catch, he doesn't fumble and this game was nowhere near as close as he would've had the TD. And we gave up a LOT to their WRs, so they had a lot of chances to get FGs.

RavenScallywag

I'll give you, we're seeing a team much better than 2007 Ravens. We've got an offense that can move the ball, a D that still plays very good at times, and at worst average at other times...and now we have a dependable kicker.

The problem is we can't call ourselves a good team until we can put together a complete game. All we do in these close games is play well enough to lose by a little. To really make the next step, the coaches and players need to find a way to push those extra 5 yards (or 1 yard in the case of our goal line stall)

StingerNLG
11-22-2009, 03:31 PM

I disagree. Sorry, but I don't believe 10 wins will get it. And I'm not even convinced at this point we can get to 10. There are two many other teams right now playing better than we are that will get in before us. And we have to play Pittsburgh twice.

Tell me what you saw today, in addition to the last weeks, that makes you believe we sweep the Steelers. It took KC 27 points in OT to do it.

How you feel about Mike Wallace in FFL next week? :grbac:

StingerNLG
11-22-2009, 03:43 PM
Carr probably.

BTW, once again, outside of Derrick Mason, guess who was our next best receiver on the team?

If you guessed Ray Rice, you were correct.

Todd Heap, who had only 2 catches himself, has as many catches as Kelley Washington and Mark Clayton combined.

Hell, LJ Smith had as many catches as either of those two.

Am I the only one now getting tired of that as well? None of these guys were redzone threats either.

OK, now then, let's set something straight here. I am not one of these people who lament over what could have been. I am not, nor have I ever, bemoaned the loss of one player to free-agency or retirement, or the salary cap. I am not one of these idio....excuse me, fans, crying for Stover, or for a new OC.

I wasn't trying to play the woulda-shoulda-coulda game. I was simply stating a fact. The fact is that in reality, this team is good, and is simply 1 player away from being very, very good....in my opinion.
