He's playing against the Pats. #29. Answers to the debate might now be available.

Looks like he is playing pretty well. Mostly against Moss.

So far so good for McAlister (halftime).
He hasn't been challenged much. Pats went deep once, but with Stanbeck(?). CMac may have been guilty of a little early grabbing, but no call.
Have to wonder how long till we see the patented double-move to catch him looking into the backfield.

I heard he was out at a local bar before the game :261695:
But I agree with above post so far so good.

He blew the coverage on that last play, gave the cheats a first and goal at the 3.

And Moss just catches a 40 yard jump ball on C-Mac.
I see Brady going after C-Mac a LOT more the rest of the game.

CMac just got caught looking back while Moss ran uncovered down the sideline.
Not entirely his fault - Brady had an eternity in the pocket. During the extended play CMac had fine coverage (and a GREAT jam that we are all familiar with).
After about 4 seconds, CMac looked back (in man coverage) to see where the ball was, and Moss just broke it deep.

While some may be angry that we didn't re-sign McAlister, I'm a little angry we never made an attempt to sign Mike Mackenzie. He's playing on beast mode tonight.

It's a joy watching these two great offensive teams go at it. This is the NFL at its best. And the refs are not flag happy either.

Is this Anita Marks?
Spoken like a true fantasy football geek...
That said, I would agree that the Saints are impressive particularly how they spread the ball around.

Cmac looking a bit sluggish out there the last couple plays towards him. Brady just missed a sure TD going Cmac's direction.

Hey Mojo...relax. It's OK to like seeing some good offensive football.
One day I hope we see an offense 1/2 as good as the Saints here in Baltimore.

If Flacco's deep ball becomes half as accurate as Brees' your wish will come true!
TIME TO HUNT!

If the saints weren't getting so much pressure CMac would have had a long day!
He got burnt on a couple....LWEBB is our man!...Foxworth plays the role of samari...just be good enough

We were in a lose-lose situation with CMac. If we didn't cut him, he would continue to get away with his undisciplined ways while playing on the Ravens. The Ravens cutting him was a personal wake-up call for him and now the team that signed (the Saints) will reap the benefits.
He had alot of problems, it is well documented in "Next Man Up" .

He'd be a great safety in this league, I just don't see him as a dominant corner anymore. His one advantage - size - can no longer be utilized under the current NFL rules.

Why would we need McKenzie, CMac, or Ty Law? We have the Bmore native and former Terp who just signed a big, undeserved contract. Foxworth rules! :261695:

Look, CMac is passable as a depth CB in this league...On any other team, sure it makes sense to sign him just to get the chance that he returns a bit to his past abilities. But he's not going to be a shutdown corner, and he's average at best as a spot starter...
On THIS team, he did not make sense. Unless the guy performs a HUGE mea culpa in front of the whole locker room and changes his attitude, he's a challenge to the coach's authority. There's a lot of Harbaugh haters coming out of the woodwork now, but he's trying to build a good locker room and NO coach is going to have someone in there who openly challenges their authority.
So I fully expect to keep hearing people drone on and on about how we missed the boat on CMac and how he's going to shut down every big WR he faces...If he does, great...But we need a different kind of player than Cmac would be, and I still wouldn't want him on this team.

He looked good jamming WR's and disrupting the timing routes, looked slow/sluggish in coverage, and I did not see one attempt at making a tackle.
Didn't seem like he was playing very hard for a guy that needs to prove his worth but I guess it was his first game back after a year off. Didn't look completely horrible but did have some jitters. Unless he breaks out after a few games and time in camp he is not looking like the same CMac that was in Baltimore and is no longer a #1 CB with shut down skills.

I am still pissed off we did not grab him...i dont care about the drinking thing...he could still play better than anything we have other than Webb. Harbs made a mistake IMHO
Chris' personal issues have been pretty well documented and after consistently violating team rules, they had finally had enough.
It brings up an interesting point though. If this were CMac in his prime, would he still be on the team? I think the answer is yes...
I agree wholeheartedly with another thread on Chris in that I am grateful for all that he has done for this organization and I hope he gets himself straightened out.
I wish him all of the best in New Orleans.
