I think I know the Ravens Defense game plan for the Colts..
it's hard to believe it'll be much different from the one against the Pats...
it's simply hit Manning right in the mouth from the beginning.. and keep hitting him.. If the Offense can come out and run the ball effectively again and keep the defense fresh, we'll be fine.
But the thing I like is that everybody thinks we'll just run and run all over again, forgetting that Flacco had 3600+ yards and 21 touchdowns.
If we can get Manning moving around running away from pressure.. take away Wanye and Clark and make Manning have to use Addai and Garcon (a rookie BTW) to beat us.. I think that'll make him a lot less effective...
But then again.. If we can win the game running 52 times again.. I'm all for it...

Thought's and Opinions??

That would be a sound, logical approach. I just wonder how the pressure on Manning can be manifested given the Indy O-line's outstanding pass protection. I think their O-line is better than New England's.

As for the other side of the ball, run against them until Indy proves they can stop it. I'd like to see Flacco step up and have a big game, but if the ground attack works, stick with it.

yeah.. Their O-Line is pretty good.. Manning only got sacked 10 times (Brady 16..) I think the defense should watch a lot of his games against the Jaguars to find out what is it they do against him, because they always have close games.. I still however stick with my thoughts that Manning should be hit..

But really.. last game we held them to 17 points, this mostly because Mattisons scheme doesn't leave the CB exposed like Ryan's did... I think if we score early, and run the ball effectively we'll be fine..

I think the thing that is essential is not letting them get a quick lead, and then throwing the ball in an attempt to keep up.

Def this... The Only match-up that scares me is Carr on Garcon.. Or Whoever on Clark.. Maybe they'll used Reed to Bracket Clark and get Landry to help with whoever is in the slot..

Their defense is distinctly average. They would most likely be below that if they didn't have so many sizable leads this season.

Their offense scares me. We will have to attack Manning in a similar manner as we did to Brady. The only way to beat the guy is to take him off his spot. And we can't blitz him or he will shred us.

Our defense was very impressive last week because we didn't need to rush 6 guys to get pressure. Mattison dialed up some clever schemes that allowed us to only rush 3, but still get pressure on the QB, something that made Rex Ryan special.

Example: Suggs' sack and FF in the first quarter. 6 blockers, 3 pass rushers. Somehow, Suggs was still able to get a 1-on-1 and win that to get to the QB. That means that 5 guys were left to block two rushers. That is what we need next week, and what likely won't happen with a veteran OL.

We need to get pressure rushing 3 or 4 or we are toast.

I agree on most of it.. but like Ray Rice eluded to in his post game interview...

this was all about heart, and who wanted it more.. If the Ravens come out with the same energy that they had at the beginning of the Wild-card game... There is no way the Colts O-line can hold the D-line back.. Like you said.. they have to get Manning moving, If he stands still he'll exposed the likes of Carr and Walker...

This is how the Colts could destroy us. With only a decent pass attack and an injured Flacco, we have to keep up with the Colts, or get a lead, to win this game. If they get a lead, I wouldn't say it is over, though. Flacco had just hurt his ankle while playing the Vikings and he played an amazing fourth quarter along with Rice. I would just rather have an early lead and close game and let our best playmaker, Ray Rice, make some plays.

If anyone saw the Pack-Cards game, the Pack was down early and had to pretty much abandon the run, something I think we cannot do to win.

We should have won that first game. We limited them to 17 points, that's pretty damn good if you ask me.

We have the personnel to put up points on their D, we just didn't execute last meeting. Flacco sucked, red zone offense was miserable, and the game plan was horrible. If those three things change, we have a good shot to win this game. If not, we'll likely see the same result.

I just wathced the replay of the regular season game. When Manning was pressured, he throw picks. We moved the ball all day against their defense, we just couldn't score inside the redzone. Plus our defense wasn't playing as good as they are now. The only concern I have is their passing attack. I am not worried about their 32nd ranked running game. I think this game will be a role reversal from 2006. We will come out on top, I don't care if Flacco passes the ball 2 times, just keep Manning off the field and we will win
