Chargers officials are discussing Pete Carroll, but they are clearly not banking on him. The Chargers are looking for a coach to deliver a Super Bowl. USC has a coach with two national championships. Should they team up and unite Southern California, San Diego County will have only more impetus to help build a new stadium. The team's future in San Diego could be at stake. -- New York Times
