You guys think there is any chance we finally get another home MNF game? A Sunday night game on Halloween vs the Saints would be a gd blast, too.

Lets hope the MNF game is earlier in the season. The last vs the Pats was cold as hell.

I don't think I can wait til April for the new schedule to come out.

We will get 2-3 prime time games for sure. Pittsburgh will be one, New England will be another.

I am getting sick of playing at New England. Next year's road slate looks pretty damn tough.

Home
Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Buffalo, Miami, Denver, New Orleans, Tampa Bay

Away
Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Cleveland, New England, New York, Houston, Atlanta, Carolina

I am sure the prime time game will be at PItt again...even though they had home MNF games against us in 2007 and 2008.

NONE of the road games are on the West Coast...and actually a lot of them are pretty close to home.

Of all the home games for next season, the game against the Saints appears to be the most likely candidate for a prime-time airing, as it would probably have the most national interest.

Pitt is always a possibility.

With Cincy's success this year, they are another possibility.

However, if I had to bet, I would put the money on the Saints game being the one for a primetime airing.

And I agree that New England and/or Pittsburgh will be a primetime road game.

EDIT: After thinking about it, I would bet money that the away game at Pittsburgh will be prime-time. While it is a great rivalry, the networks love to show the inbreds waving their stupid urine-soaked panty sheilds, while yammering on about what great fans they are. Of course, that all stops when their team is losing in the 3rd period, as the stadium empties out.

I sure hope not. Having only one home night game this past season was nice. Fortunately, it was fairly mild, so all-day tailgating helped offset the late hour and nippy night air. Previous year late season night games against the Packers, Patriots, and Redskins involved some brutally cold and windy weather.

I would prefer to NOT have a Sunday Night game on Halloween, as I have small children to take trick-or-treating and a long standing tradition of handing out beer and various boat drinks to the adults that are trick-or-treating with their kids.

Even a Sunday afternoon game would put a crimp in it, but I could scramble home in time to enjoy some festivities. This would be a good candidate for an away game or MNF game if we are going to have one.

It is either because I am Old School or just simply Old but I prefer the Sunday afternoon games for football. Tailgating can go breakfast or lunch if a 1:00 game or lunch/dinner if 4:00. The late nighters make the next work day a challenge to say the least. I figure any SNF or MNF will be away, and I agree that New England or Pittsburgh will be the most likely of those.

I am scanning the away games though. There are a couple that I have not visited, and they are not that far away. I have used the same company for my trips except for some personal ones. Do the rest of you use companies or work it out yourself?

I usually work it out myself, primarily because I use frequent flier coupons for flight and hotel, but a few times I have hooked up with ravenstrips.com (Cole) or 12th Man Travel (Wade). Both these guys organize good weekends wrapped around Ravens games.

A few times in the past I have facilitated cooperative large group ticket purchases (e.g. Phoenix 2002?) and tailgate parties (e.g. Jax 2005). Since there is no margin when doing these events for no profit and the inevitable no-shows occur, these events cost me a few bucks, so I retired from being an organizer and defer to Cole and Wade.

Road trips which I would recommend going solo this season would include Houston and New England -- flights are cheap and face value tickets should be plentiful if you know where to look. Jets, in the new stadium and coming off their playoff run, will be a high demand game where a group organizer can better access tickets, and would be a good one to go up with a group on a bus.

I always do it on my own. It is much cheaper to watch for tickets on Ebay, deals on flights and I am a low budget hotel guy. I also tend to like doing city-centric stuff vs. paying for a out of town party at a generic bar. No offense but I typically am not looking for a couple hundred ravens fans at an away game as I immensely enjoy that every day here at home. To me that is akin to traveling to another country and eating at McDonalds.

Looking at the away schedule, I am not seeing anything that is so enticing.

I'm the same way.

I guess it's easier to just plop down a bunch of money and then just show up at places etc.... but I'd rather plan my own stuff and be on my own schedule.

with all the away games with the exception of Houston being in driving distance I'm thinking about going to every game next season. I have always wanted to do it but everything never lined up. this might be the year depending on the dates of the games

I'm hoping we get New England or New York after a home game early for trip reasons. Or a nice double home set!

If you are talking about driving, NJ is an fairly easy 3+ hour drive, but NE is a beast. Don't let the map fool you, it's 7+ hours to Foxborough if you drive overnight, but daytime expect 9+ hours due to I-95 continual urban congestion or the extra miles from long bypasses. Other 2010 opponents whose stadiums are as close or closer than Foxborough are Charlotte, Pitt, and Cincinatti.

Thanks for the input. I use Cole for trips that he schedules, but last year there were only two. I did Green Bay, and as always he did a fantastic job. I'll look into the other one to see what is available. My Minnesoata trip was a family-planned one, but I still look forward to finding where other fans are congregating. It is a connection in a foreign land. I could not imagine trying to put all of it together for a big group though. Kudos to all who do or have done it.

Dan Patrick suggested a few matchups and Ravens vs. Bengals was one of them.

Plenty to do in Charlotte.

Please fill us in on that sometime, since we plan to return to Charlotte next season. When we went to the 2002 game in Charlotte, the city seemed was pretty slow over the weekend. We stayed at Residence Inn to be within walking distance to the stadium and walked, then drove around, inside the core city bounded by the I-277 loop, but could find virtually nothing open on the Saturday prior to the game. We had to drive out to the suburbs to buy beer for game-day.

I am guessing your not a racing fan. I am planning to visit the new NASCAR hall of fame and Charlotte Motor Speedway.

NASCAR is an acquired taste...:069:

I've been to a few races to perform opening ceremonies and just didn't find it interesting enough to merit staring at one small portion of track while going deaf and picking tire tread out of your teeth for 2-3 hours...

Likewise - I'm in Boston this summer till mid-September, so would happily extend my stay if I had to!

Two thoughts:

1 - Anyone think we might get a chance to break in the new NYJ stadium?

2 - As for going up to NE, think about flying Southwest to Providence or staying over at one of the Connecticut casinos.

Otherwise, an unappealing schedule, to put it mildly.

Anyone keeping track? IIRC, this list includes the new Mile High, FedEx Field, Heinz. Did we also break in Paul Brown Stadium?

From the persective of tourist destinations, I believe that arguments can be made for Xanadu at the Hackensack Dump and Foxborough Downs, if looking for stadia that aren't crowded in by urban growth. Or even suburban. Jets tix will likely be very expensive, but plenty of face value Patriots should be available again.

Charlotte & Atlanta should be cheap destinations with cheap & easy to obtain tickets.
