What will be the score of the Ravens game on Sunday ?

I say 20-17 Ravens. Coming back after being down 17-13.

Man I hope I'm right. I want a road win.

I'll say 24-13 Ravens, in keeping with McNair's saying to Ray that he's good for 24 points a game. I think our D will keep Simms off his game and possibly throw a pick or two, especially if we can stuff the run.

But that Tampa D is pretty stout itself, lets hope Jamal and Musa can break off some good runs.

I'm just happy that the game is on local TV down here so I don't have to go sit in a sports bar to watch. :eyes:

Hope springs eternal!!!

Hmm.. I'll guess 17-14 Ravens. McNair will engineer the game winning TD drive on a tired bucs D under two minutes. Man wouldn't that be awesome, a win on the road and a 2 minute drill to win the game.

I like the sound of 10-6. I'm not sure if it'll be Ravens or Bucks....but I'm going to go with the Ravens

I'm optimistically going with the over. Two TDs for Bmore, one to Mason and one on defense somehow, and three field goals.

Bucs get 17.

I'm a glass half full guy.

Like Jimmy the Greek used to say: always bet WITH the streak. I think the Ravens will play better than they did on the road last year, but I think it's very difficult to win on the road on opening day. Bucs 20, Ravens 17.

Win or lose, I just want to see our guys play GOOD! No meltdowns, no stupid penalties (like 12 men), no ugly turnovers.

24 - 10 Ravems win but it'll be our D who bring this one home, i really can't see the Bucs having too much joy against us, we just need to give McNair "some" protection and run the hell out of the football to control the clock!

PurpleRulz

The Bucs OL is not that great and they will be missing a couple of starters. This could come down to our discipline and our Special Teams play (field position). We will also have the better QB on the field for once.

I think we win, but it won't be pretty.

Ravens 27
Bucs 12

McNair will throw 3 TDs. (Mason 2, and D. Williams 1).

Idea: The poster that comes closest to the outcome should be called, "Poster Of The Week." That poster could then qualify at the end of the season to compete with other posters of the week to predict the playoff and SB games. Just an idea.

Lower scoring than most think as the defensive lines dominate over the offensive lines (on both side) all day.

Against the Bucs D, I just don't know if our offensive line is ready for the game yet. And the Bucs have a very solid defense. I see them sitting in cover 2 all game long and letting their DL overpower ours.

However, our defense will give Chris Simms problems. So the battle will be between Jamal Lewis and Cadillac Williams.

Give me Bucs 13, Ravens 10.

Ravens Win

ravensfan86

Ravens - 21
Bucs - 17

I am going to base my score on last year's late season playoff win by the Redskins. The Bucs defense is vulnerable to medium and deep pass. Although McNair hasn't shown the deep pass in the preseason, I think we will be surprised when he hooks up with Clayton or DWill deep. Once he makes that connection early, the LB's and safeties will have to stay at home opening up the field for Jamal and Heap. Even though the score is close, the Ravens finally get the monkey off their backs playing on the road.

BTW: This victory will only be possible if the Ravens stay disaplined and avoid stupid penalies of the 15 yard variety and if the Oline can protect McNair and at least open some creases for Jamal and Musa. I think either Musa or Jamal will snap off a long TD run. The socre will not be close until the end of the game when its garbage time! (Hey one can dream right?)

I don't know what the hell you people are smoking, I'm in Tampa Bay right now and the score is gonna be 34-7 Ravens, easy win baby. Redskins beat the Bucs last year with only like 130 yards offense. Get real all you haters, Ravens dominate this game and come home to easy stomping of the Raiders next week. SO EAT THAT BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are two evenly matched teams, but playing at home on opening weekend gives the Bucs a slight edge.

I think we will keep it very close however, and if we can get a big play on special teams or defense, we can win this football game. A fast start to take the crowd out of it would go a LONG way to getting the Ravens a victory.

If our offensive line plays well, the Ravens win the football game. I'm just not sure this unit will hold up under 60 minutes of pressure from a good Bucs defensive line. That will be a theme all season long.

Like a few others, I don't see us winning this game.
Mainly because of the uncertainty of our offensive line.

This is a solid team we're facing in their house on opening day.

Defensively I think we present some problems for their offense which should keep their scoring ability to a minimum, although their receivers could present some real problems if they come out in multiple receiver sets.

Got a hard time trying to see our nickel back covering David Boston.

Quite frankly, I'm more concerned about whether Mcnair gets out of there alive and in one piece!!

I'll be happy if that happens, and a win by us will just be iceing on the cake.

This is only game one of a 16 game season where going undefeated is borderline impossible for most teams.

A loss to a quality opponent will not be the end of the season particurally since it's an NFC team.

I think the road monkey comes off our back in week 3 against Cleveland.

I think our defense will keep it close tommorrow, but my mind says the bucs win.

How much of a difference this makes I don't know, but we now have one less receiver to worry about tommorrow.

Bucs Release Boston (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/9649143)

Having our nickel back trying to cover him was a huge concern of mine, but that's no longer an issue.

Apparently they are in as bad of shape at offensive line as we are.

Ok all you losers! I put my pick up earlier now to all you people who come on here and say Ravens lose go look at the the Bucs Oline issues, they are gonna have two guards playing tomorrow who I don't think have ever even started. The only way they are gonna score points is on defense and McNair isn't letting that happen so this is your one chance. Come back, rethink you pick and kiss my grits! .......losers.

edit: Ok the guy starting at right guard has never started. The guy at left guard is a game time decision but his back up played last year. Either way their line isn't gonna be able to handle our rush, we all know Rex Ryan is gonna stop the run no doubt, and Chris Sims isn't gonna be able to win this game for them.

The skeptics were justified in their worry. I have to admit that while optimistic, I was worried about this game.

I had NO IDEA that we would punish that team as we did. It is not as if we were playing the Lions, Texans, or Saints. We played the Bucs and the number 1 defense of last year, and made them look like the Saints and Texans.

I hope our guys do not overlook ANY team, including the Raiders. I want us to have the "eye of the tiger" against every team we play this season.

Think about this, you could see that we were still not playing our best ball. McNair overthrew some receivers, and we had missed tackles on defense. The Ravens, if they keep this focus and intensity, could be a dangerous and elite team in the NFL this year.

Considering the pounding we gave the Bucs, I had no intention bringing any of that up. McNair didn't look "sharp" perse, but he got the job done and in a big way. 35 minutes of TOP? I don't care if he only completed 30% of his passes.

I am w/ TL here eating some crow. There really was no reason to expect the Ravens to win at Tampa so I totally see where TL is coming from.

I was very pleasantly surprised...but it's only one game. Unless they beat the Raiders at home this week the road win means nothing. I do expect to see them at 2-0 after the home opener.
