I think he would be a great fit here and take over for Reed pretty soon. I think Reed is one and done if he even does come back, and Rolle can play some CB and slot until then.

I would love to have Rolle play bump and run with Reed over the top on the big WRs like SD. Match up and play up on slot TEs like Dallas Clarke and Gates, and blitz from the slot and not bounce off Big Jen.

He won't be cheap, but should not cost crazy cash and since he will be cut, won't affect the elite 8 rules. He also may not be a shutdown type CB, but I think he can hold it down out there 1 on 1 vs guys like Hines Ward, Coles, Cribbs and the bigger physical WRs that are not all that fast.

We already have a big hitting SS that is a liability in coverage. I see Landry as the same type of player as Rolle, just not the same pedigree and name. I just don't see any place for him in Baltimore for the money he will demand.

He is a FS/ CB not SS at all. 6'0 206, 4.49 with good quicks but not real speed. He does have good hands and skills. he can play Tampa 2 CB and other zones, but is not a man to man cover guy vs #1 or good #2 WRs.

I see him as a replacement for Reed not Landry, but should also be very good in the slot and in a rover like role. He can tackle and play in the box, but is not a SS. I have been a big fan since he was at the U. At the right price I think he would be the right player. He is very tough and versatile with a nose for the big play. Not a great player but very good.

Rolle will be cut so he won't count against that or prevent us from signing Peppers or Dunta who sucks.

The Ravens have money. They do have monopoly money in fact, since they have a monopoly on pro football. There is a budget, but it is big enough to fit a few more big time players into. If there was a cap, the Ravens would be way under right now and I am tired of people saying they do not have the money to get good players. They do. Not every free agent out there is a target, but no free agent is off the table because of cap trouble or cash shortage.

The Fact is, they aren't going to blow their wad and spent a billion dollars this offseason. Not considering a budget is completely flawed thinking. The Ravens are likely to have one or fewer acquisitions over $5m per year no matter what the rules are. I would expect a few Bannan, Leonhard types as well.

When talking about the big names, you should consider them on an either or basis. When talking about mid level players like Leigh Bodden, you can start talking about multiple additions. But there is no way we get Peppers and Rolle or Robinson... and Marshall or Boldin... It's probably one guy at most from that list.

rolle is not going anywhere. AZ wants him back, they just weren't going to pay him $12 mil for this year. (4 mil roster bonus 8 mil salary).
