According to Forbes magazine, Cleveland is considered America's most miserable city.
This city's high crime rate, soaring unemployment and foreclosure crisis contribute to its status as America's most miserable city. Perhaps these factors explain why the net migration out of the metro area was 71,000 over the past five years. :eck15:
No wonder the Browns suck and the fans are hostile to Art Modell and Baltimore:rolleyes:

On the other hand, just think what a great bargain Troy Smith could have gotten on buying a house there.

As much as I agree with you, it will be interesting following Cleveland in the draft this year. They have about 10-11 picks; many are in the first 3 rounds. In fairness to them, they have a new front office and I will be anxious to see which players go to them. It seems like they have made several poor choices in prior drafts under Phil Savage and their prior GMs.

Depending on the outcome(s) of the Rothlisberger/Holmes cases, Pittsburgh may be the team that is poised for a big drop off.

We can hope, right? I hate to say it but the Stoolers tend to do well (consistent) in the draft and I don't foresee them falling off too much. I don't think Roethlisberger is going anywhere either...

Worse than Detroit?
Worse than New Orleans?

There's no confusing downtown Cleveland with downtown NOLA.

You're right, but not for the reasons you think you're right. You clearly have not seen the post-Katrina NOLA...

Not at all .... I visit New Orleans about every 6 to 8 weeks. I was there the day before Katrina hit, and came back 2 months later. I saw the devastation, and watching the slow recovery. I used to visit Cleveland sporadically when I worked for NASA, and found it to be one of the most boring major cities in the US, and as run down as any Rust Belt city, R&R museum & the lakefront area notwithstanding.

I was in New Orleans 3 weeks ago and a year ago. I was also there in 2001.

The areas where an out of towner would visit doesn't show any signs of Katrina.

As far as comparing it to Cleveland? There is no comparison.
