I had a conversation the other day with a Redskin fan about who started the PSL first...He emphatically said it was Art Modell and the Ravens! I disagreed with him and told him it was Daniel Snyder, because I really thought it was...Am I wrong:229031_confused2:? Can you give me some info on it?

It wasn't Snyder. Their Stadium is newer than ours I think, and they have to sign contracts stating that they will buy season tickets for so many years and can't get out of those contracts.
I am 90 % sure they still don't have PSL's

Here is a link (http://www.google.com) that should help you find what you're looking for.
We were one of the first ones to use it, but we certainly weren't the first. We weren't the first in the NFL. I'm pretty sure the Panthers were.

For the "Permanent Seat License", it definitely was the Panthers, as a the way to pay for their privately funded stadium. The Raiders were the first to sell the "Personal Seat License", which has a fixed term (IIRC 20 years) and must be renewed.
As to your Redskins friend, tell him that his team also has a ticket financing scam going: club seats and suites have to be acquired on a multi-year lease basis, not season by season. Breaking of those leases was the cause of the scandal last year exposed by the Washington Post -- Danny Snyder suing a widowed grandmother.
