Thought is was prudent to start a thread on this, with it being four days away and all.

Firstly - roll call - who is coming? Idea is dinner (some place with good crabcakes and steaks) then drinks in Fell's Point area.

Secondly - where for dinner? Greg knows a good place near Linthicum (about 15 mins drive from town), for which I didn't save the damn link so he'll have to remind me the name - but we'd need to figure out transportation for the UK lot who don't have a car. An option may be Light Rail to Linthicum and have people collected at the Light Rail stop. Alternatively, we could eat Downtown - for which I'd recommend either Nick's Fish House or Obrycki's.

I'm organizing the pub crawl and, as stated above, would think Fell's is a good bet. The Slurp (Oyster) Fest is on this weekend, so we may be able to catch a live band or two while we're down there.

Please post here with ideas for a fun night, and if you're coming or not.

Where are the UK gang staying in town. I know it has been mentioned somewhere but I'm too lazy to look.

The Days Inn on Lombard St.

Gotcha. Could start in the Wharf Rat. They supposedly have 'real ale' drawn by hand pumps but it tastes carbonated to me.

Gonna try my best to get down there.

They're coming to Bal'mer and you're not going to take them to Ray Lewis' Corner Stable Canton, 2400 Boston St!:grbac:

The Ray Lewis place was mentioned as a possibility for Saturday.

I won't get back until Saturday p.m., so I will miss the Friday festivities. However, I'd be up for meeting up on Sat if y'all plan anything. Otherwise, see ya at the tailgate party, celery stalks in hand!

For various reasons including previous engagements for Ben, and my son's birthday party on Saturday, we elected to go with a Friday get together for the main event for the board. Yes, we are that important. LOL.

I was thinking G&Ms in Linthicum, mainly because they have incredible crab cakes and it isn't that far for them. Obrycki's is good choice, though their name is a bit better than their product, IMHO. Never been to Nick's Fish House.

Let's start with a time to begin the festivities, then scheduling the locations might be easier. How about 6:30 or 7:00 for dinner?

Sounds good to me...

Let's get a head count. We will want to make a reservation for this, I think.

camden and his wonderful fiancee.
Ben and CJ. (wow, two upcoming marriages. I suggest SEPARATE bachelor parties).
Amy and me.
The 4 Guests of Honor (are they all coming?)
Steve and the lovely Mrs. Admin.

I think our women are into charity work, based on the rest of you schlubs. That applies especially to you, Ted!

That's 12, who else is in?

UPDATE: We are going ahead with G&Ms so that Ben can blame me if the food sucks. Ben will collect our British friends up at their hotel and light rail them to North Linthicum where Amy and I will pick them up, along with CJ. We can probably plan on getting to G&Ms round about 7:15.

Sure if I got room you can put your stuff in.Just remember to bring yourself enough changes of underwear.

I've got my four? five? changes of underwear, jumper, Ravens shirts, O's jersey, Ravens long sleeve T, Ravens Insider T and a couple of other bits and bobs, not too much, hence the small suitcase. If I took one of our big suitcases everything would roll around out of control, lol.

I might upgrade to my cricket bag if I think I won't have space for things.

Actually, it is supposed to clear and be a really nice weekend for them. Let's hope so.

Actually, a bit spotty the next few days but www.weather.com gives a 7 both days on the golf index so it won't be too bad. Sunday it supposed to be nice.

Ben, I'll be at the Wharf Rat (Fells Point) on Friday as usual. Bring your fellow red-coats over for some good Oliver ale! I'd love to meet them all.

I posted this in the Mod forum, but I'll put it here also. If someone has a # for the guys at the hotel, please email me. If not, hopefully someone can get it for me Sunday. Assuming they are not leaving until Monday.

I have no clue if one of them is bringing a lap top so they can check the board. Thanks.
