There's a piece here that discussed Palmer v. Flacco. (http://www.ravens24x7.com/columns/In-the-Hood-The-AFC-North/Take-your-pick-Palmer-vs.-Flacco)
But it got me to thinking....
Taking into consideration skill, experience, injuries and the future, if you had to start a team today and had to choose from the following QB's, which would you choose, Flacco, Palmer or Roethlisberger?
Your vote is welcome on our home page (http://www.ravens24x7.com/).

I think Flacco has the most upside among all three. Palmer has shown himself to be in that middle tier of QB's - good but not elite like Manning or Brady. Rapistberger just has too much baggage around him now. Not to mention he takes way too many sacks so who knows how long his body will hold up.

You would have to go with Joe just based on price tag if nothing else. Big JenMjillicutty is the best player worst person, no way would a team want him and his contract over Flacco or Palmer right now. Well maybe Palmer if he still has rag arm. He was throwing the ball more like Jake Delhome last year than Peyton Manning.

Palmer's too frail at this point. I don't think he's got much more left in the tank.
I'd choose Roethlisberger hands down if he wasn't a serial rapist and one huge concussion away from becoming a vegetable. But he is, so scratch him.
Flacco has the most left to improve his game of the three by far. I'd take him over Palmer straight-up. But Big Ben is one of the best QBs in the NFL...if he didn't have the off-field issues and concussion problems, he'd project to remain such for the next decade at least. You can't not take a guy like that. The only way you don't is ... well ... if he's got injury and/or off-field concerns. He's got both, so he probably drops to the bottom of the list.

Just on the basis of talent alone-not age, upside, contracts, etc.
Roethlisberger
Flacco
Palmer
Flacco and Palmer are very close though. IF it was the pre-knee injury Palmer I'd take him over Flacco at this point.
If looking down the road: FLACCO!
My personal fave: FLACCO!

1 - Ben (he is to the Ravens, as Rice is to the Stillers - Winners)
2 - Joe
3 - Carson

Palmer is somewhat under rated here. He has killed our defense enough! This season it's:
(1) Palmer
(2) Roethelisberger
(3) Flacco
But, looking at the future - next five years, it's reversed:
(1) Flacco
(2) Roethelisberger
(3) Palmer

I'm not at all convinced Palmer's gonna be the best of the three this year. He has serious durability issues. His body hasn't held up for a full season to be able to finish strong since his ACL injury. He lays too many eggs.
Ben shouldn't be anywhere but last for this year given he's gonna miss nothing less than a quarter of the year.

Flacco put up better numbers than Palmer did last year. Why would that change? Flacco was clearly playing hurt last year as well, so even if Palmer recovers from his elbow injury that seems to have turned his Peyton Manning like arm into a Jake Dellhome like one, Joe should also play better than he did when healthy early on last year.
Ben is missing part of the year and lost Holmes from the Wr group. He may lose his job altogether if they win without him.
