Says Ravens play book is 10x bigger and has 200 more termonologies and Ray
is very humble guy and great teacher.
The feeling is mutual with Ray because after the first OTA he said he was
really excited with the new D-guys Ravens brought in.
My board had Kindle going @20 just behind Brandon Graham who went to Eagles @ 13
after they traded up for him.
As article says, Ravens jumped all over him when he fell to 2d round after all those teams
passed on him.
I predict Kindle will be starting at some point this season (same as Cody) but Matt can play both
him and JJ in a 3-4 moving JJ in as ILB.
Note the pic of Kindle covering Dickson in practice. Damn he looks small compared to Dickson who is a TE
in a WR body. I can't wait to see Dickson. He'll be playing WR at some point too.

The interesting thing is there were rumblings that we might've made two moves before Kindle...
The Ravens allegedly wanted to trade back into the Colts spot, theoretically for Jerry Hughes, but possibly for the guy mentioned below...Colts decided to stay with the pick though
Also, admittedly from DeCosta/Ozzie, the Ravens board at the start of Day 2 was Chris Cook, then Kindle. If Cook had gone past Vikings and made it closer to our pick, got to think Ozzie might have pulled the trigger on the deal.
But we were definitley suprised to have Kindle fall into our laps with no moves at all. He's showing to be everything we hoped he could be so far, just hope it continues through TC and Season.

Yea, Oz said he tried to move up to get Cox. The guys on all the boards were
praying for him in the 2d round. He would have been a great pick but we
won't be sorry with Kindle.
Oz might have taken Gronkowski too if Bellecheat hadn't moved in front.
He was scared Ozzie was gonna draft him and didn't take the chance.
Gronkowski didn't even play last year while we got Dickson and Pitta.
IN OZ WE TRUST.

There was a lot of confusion with the Gronk pick, because it looked like the time had expired, the Ravens submitted their card, and the people running the show crapped themselves until Goodell came over and settled up.
In any case, the card we submitted was still Kindle. No interest in Gronk there.

I thought that was around the 43rd pick with Cody.
If that's the case, I'd take Kindle and Cody over Gronk in a heart beat.
I'd take Pitta over Gronk who might not even play.
Pitta ran the best routes in college.
As for all the crapping, where have we seen that before when Ozzie
handed in a card?
Remember the Leftwich draft and the 30-second phone call?
Ozzie sure effects people in the draft. They're scared of him.

Someone somewhere told me that Gronk wasn't even on our board. Think I heard that from my cousin who does a lot of media work for the O's (and is somewhat well connected with Ravens guys as such) while at a family poker game, but can't remember that for sure who I heard it from. My understanding was that Dickson and Pitta were the only two we had real interest in.

I think lost in all this may be the fact that we actually acquired a new big WR in the mold of Colston/Finley with Dickson rather than him being a TE. I think this is a down the line move, but maybe not. I would be cool for Pitta will stay as the replacement to Heap and Dickson to become a future #1. I hear that he played some WR in prior to moving to TE anyway. Interesting notion though...

I got the impression from something DeCosta said (you had to read between the lines) that he may not have made our list of guys (with pre-exisiting medical conditions) cleared by our medical staff.

Speaking of being cleared by our medical staff, they also cleared Kindle
before the draft but certain posters on this site are still worried about
the knee and wanted someone else.

To be fair, the medical staff also cleared Dan Cody. Medical issues are always giant question marks. Just cause they don't clear one guy doesn't mean he'll have injury issues going forward; and just cause they do clear another guy doesn't mean he won't.

again, Dan Cody didn't have any real PHYSICAL health issues before the draft. He had some mental health ?s, but his problem came day 1 of TC, when he destroyed his knee. His career just never recovered. That wasn't pre-existing, it happened solely on the Ravens.

Cody was a great physical specimen when he came here.
His problem was his joints. They couldn't hold all that bulking up he did with muscle.
Steroids???????
Just wondering.
Man, just look at these pics. What a beast! What a crying shame!
He's already been voted as a top-10 bust.
