I heard Glenn Clark on NST this morning screeching about something Yaffe had done.
Anyone know the story? I came in very late. I don't listen to Yaffe much, because he comes across as an (a) ignorant (b) blowhard (c) jerk, so he gets on my nerves, but I'm curious to know the backstory.
I'm prepared to accept that some of the posts that follow will be non-answering complaints or snide remarks about NST or people who work there, but I'd like at least one straight answer, if there's one to be had.
Thanks in advance.

I think (not 100% sure) but another radio station made fun of Nestor and his missing finger. It was referred to as the nub. 1300 am was on commercial so I switched over and heard someone whining. Don't know if this is what you were referring to or not.

Thanks, that was probably it. Sounds stupid, I shouldn't have asked.
Thanks, though.

May or may not be related, but the WNST people covering the stadium practice kept trying to insult Jerry Coleman of Fox Sports 1370 AM on their twitter feed. Coleman was trading barbs back, but I didnd't follow him.
WNST generally comes off really whiny. From the way they're treated by the Orioles, to how they must be the greatest radio station in Baltimore and how everyone steals from them, there's a lot of times I get REAL tired of hearing it.
Nestor is the worst of it.

But......their ALEXA ratings are awesome! LOL

I actually don't have a problem with how they talk/complain about the Orioles. I think they're basically right about how poorly the team is run and marketed and it's absurd that a local sports team would shut out one or more local media outlets, even if the local media outlets are obnoxious. I think it stinks that a once proud franchise has been allowed to become a big joke, and I don't have any problem with keeping attention on that public disgrace.
But as much as I want to patronize the small, locally owned radio station, I just struggle to enjoy listening to what's become of the on-air "talent."
Oh well.

I'm not sure, but I think it has to do with Jen Royle. I heard her complaining that another radio station was making fun of her because she said that M&T Bank Stadium holds 40,000.

I will take Manita over Royle anyday. I hate the constant New York this New York that. Next we will bring a Shittsburgh broadcaster in to do Ravens reports
Did you hear The Norris show on 105.7 this morning...they have a guy who usually just reads the sports updates, Kevin Battle...he was filling in with Steve Davis out and when he went to throw it to Mark Zinno at Ravens TC, he accidentally said "Steelers TC". They gave him a ton of crap and he admitted he's from Pittsburgh initially and it was a slip of the tongue.

The PD at the Fan is the biggest moron in local radio, and WNST is full of talentless cry babies. Seriously, we are over saturated with sports talk stations for this market but they all suck.

Which is why I listen to The Junkies in DC. Even their occasional Ravens reference is more insightful than anything on Bmore sports radio.
Rob Long is the only exception.
