The irony of his most recent article (http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-preston-ravens-0921-20100920,0,4154007.column) is not in any way lost on me...

"There is no way that he should carry the ball only 16 times in a 15-10 game, one in which the other team is putting pressure on your quarterback with only three or four players at the line. As the game went on Sunday, Rice was starting to take control in the second half, and you felt it was only a matter of time before he broke off another long run"

I can't believe I am saying this, but I agree with Preston. Funny thing is there have been games like this before...

Well, Mikie must have missed the first game when Joe had a lot of the
same probs and scored just 10 points, same as yesterday but won.

Great line about blaming Obama.

Uh ohh...Coach Johnny the Baptist isn't going to like this. Preston better not ask coach johnny a tough question in the next press conference. Harbs will freak.

Scott Garceau hada guy on from CBS who said he got so many soft
balls it was pathetic for a game like that. Everyone in the media
was taking it easy on him.

Scott took exception to it but he wasn't even there.

BTW, Im pretty sure HARBs is Pentacostal or Charasmtic, not Baptist. His father and brother
were associated with Promise Kepers, which is a charasmatic event started by Bill McCarthy
after he won the national championship at Colorado. All are/were college football coaches.

I'm 99% certain Harbs is Catholic, and 100% sure he's an advocate of catholic education.

I just read where Jack HARBs was Asst AD at Marquette so you might
be right. Catholics can be charasmatic too and that's not a criticism.

His son in law is Tom Crean who was the head basket ball coach there
and now coaches at Bobby Knight's Indiana. Crean married Jack's daughter
Joani.

Jack was the DB coach at Michigan under Bo and went to the Rose Bowls
all those times during the 70s. BTW, the Ravens o-line coach was the line
coach at Michigan and developed Jake Long, Dolphins #1 pick in the Flacco
draft. So there was a connection there.

HARBs definitely ain't Baptist but Johnny the Baptist was funny sarcasm.

Come on guys...It is week 2. We have a revamped Offense that will gel in time, Our D...as always will keep us in most games. They have not given up a TD yet. Flacco had his worst game ever....in his life. Nothing like the Stains to right the ship. Who would have taken 2-1 to start this season.....ME!!! We will get right this week. I single handedly will represent the 12th man this week and see that we are 2-1. Huge fat win comin...we will win by 20

+1

I can't wait to make some noise on Sunday!

Preston was actually the voice of reason in his column today. He's right. We are 1-1 after playing 2 good teams on the road, one of them on a short week. The defense has still not allowed a TD in 2 games. Flacco had an awful game, but it was one game. Let's make the corrections and go beat up on the Brownies!
