Oakland (0-1) at Baltimore (1-0)

The Raiders might be the worst team in the history of the world. Fitting that Aaron Brooks is the quarterback.

Baltimore 51, Oakland 3

I literally fell on the floor when I read this. Anyone for 60 points?

I think we will blow them out, but 51 is too high. If we get up 27, 30 points, half of our starters will be out of the game and we are just going to be running it.

I just want one game at home that is a laugher by halftime....so we can sit back and just goof the whole second half and not sit on pins and needles.....

Wait! You mean that Peter King 51 - 3 prediction is not the halftime score? What an insult. ;)

We're literally asking to fall on our faces with all this blowout talk. I hope we do blow them out, but I'll take a win by last second field goal, as always.

hey fellspoint what position are you playing sunday???

we as fans don't play the game. As long as the fans stay focused we will be fine.

Here is an excerpt from BaltimoreRavens.com

"That's like a boxer watching a previous fight - somebody getting knocked out in the first round, and then they come in and take their opponent lightly and they get knocked out," said linebacker Ray Lewis, who was voted the AFC's Defensive Player of the Week for his 10-tackle, one sack showing. "We're not going to do that."

What I posted on YBR about this:

WOW! 52-3, I think Mr. King needs to dial down his expectations down from 11. We shut-out a good team on the road, but its not like they were the 99 Rams. People need to settle down about a week 1 win.

I'm the new long snapper. I can get you a free hat if you want.

Don't get me wrong - I like the noises the Ravens players are making regarding focus, not taking opponents lightly, etc. But I think a little humility from the fans in the week prior to the game adds to the good karma. I'm all about karma at the moment.

I will of course be shouting my head off and screaming for 50 points come Sunday at 1pm, though.

There's no way the Ravens score 50+ on Sunday. Let's all just be happy with a convincing win. :D

Actually, I'd be happy to win 4-3 - two safeties over a FG. It's the NFL, not NCAA; points are just for keeping score.

We better not take this game as a cake walk. We better be prepared and unlease hell on the Raiders.

We as fans DO influence the game. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with a fan using "we."

Dammit.....I hate typing with 2 fingers. Correction noted.

FYI..its been a LONG day. Had to rush the 1 yr old Bulldog to the vet to have emergency surgery this morning. A thousand + later and he's doing well. I pick him up in an hour.

I agree with the We thing, as a fan we are all part of the team (at least that's the way I see it) but by me or another fan posting that we are going to slaughter the Raiders it isn't going to effect the game so much as to make the ravens loose.

No prediction is going to effect the way Ray Lewis prepares his defense for success. Likewise, Steve McNair won't allow his offense to falter under the pressure of lofty expectations.

It's up to the fans to do their part as per usual...Which is namely shouting our opponent's offense out of their comfort zone and into the jaws of the ravenous Purple Pain Defense...

What happened to the pooch?

He's been having issues doing the #1 and we took him in and they thought it was a UT problem. He still wasn't doing the #1. Took him in and an xray didnt show anything. A decather (sp?) was used and he did have stones. So they had to reroute his uretha so that he can pass them. $2K later he's fixed.

the advantage of having veterans on the team; they can help the young guys stay focused and prevent letdown.
re the shutout; remember, the only reason the Bucs didn't get three is that they went for the td in the 3rd quarter inside the 10 (their one 'drive' of the day).
my prediction: Ravens 31, Oakland 6.

Not 4-3, Mista T. The Raveins have to win by 11 or more. Didn't you pick them against the spread??:) :rocking:
